October 2, 2013 Letter of Recommendation for Rebekah Skinner

To Whom It May Concern: I had the pleasure of having Rebekah Skinner as a student in my ED 500 Educational Perspectives course at Hope College during the fall semester of 2013. I thoroughly enjoyed having her in class and always looked forward to seeing her, as she is a reflective thinker and wanted to really understand the profession and all its nuances. In class, Rebekah was an extremely involved student. She listened attentively, asked excellent questions, participated in discussions, and displayed an eagerness for learning to grow as a professional. During group work, she related very well with other students, added relevant contributions to the conversations, and probed others to think more deeply. Eager to have a classroom of her own soon, Rebekah looks forward to seeing the growth her students make from the first day of school to the last. Her passion to become a teacher is sparked by the creativity she possess and wants to use it to invest in students learning to help them build a foundation for the future. It is clear that Rebekah wants to take her love for literature and the English language to make a difference in students lives. I would recommend Rebekah for any teaching position she pursues. She is well on her way to becoming an excellent teacher and will have a positive influence on many childrens lives. Sincerely,

Wendy Colsen Assistant Professor
