Benchmark: Academic Exhibit: Lab Science Food Study

To display my proficiency and achievement in the area of lab science, I have chosen to present my lab science food study. This study required me to work in conjunction with another student to conduct, and later write, a study on food. First, we were required to select a way to compare different types of food, so we decided to compare the acidity levels of USDA-certified organic and nonorganic produce. After conducting this lab, we had to write a detailed study outlining, among other things, our objectives, procedures, data and conclusions. We completed this and received an A on the assignment, which shows my proficiency in lab science.

I have learned many lessons as a result of completing this assignment, including teamwork, communication, and how to write a lab report. In order to complete the assignment effectively, I had to work well with my partner. I also had to maintain good communication with him, which made for a more cohesive experience overall. Finally, I learned to write a proper scientific lab report, and also how to conduct an experiment, which proved to be very interesting.

The lessons I have learned from this assignment, including responsibility, teamwork and communication, will certainly remain with me throughout my life after graduation. After graduation, and during life, I will need to be able to communicate with others in virtually every aspect of life, and I will also need to be able to be responsible and work well with others.
