A LITTLE ABOUT ME

PROFESSIONAL GOA L
AND HOW THE MATLT PROGRAM HAS HELPED ME P R E PA R E

I would like to incorporate technology into my lesson plans and introduce young students to technology that they will be faced with in their upcoming academic career.

REFLECTION
What was the challenge you experienced? It was challenging to find software or technology that was age-appropriate for preschoolers or young elementary students. How did you overcome it?

I researched what other teachers are using in their classrooms or have petitioned to get in
their classrooms and why. How did the experience sharpen your knowledge and/or skill with teaching and learning with technology? I learned about the different kinds of technology that is fitting for young students, such as the SMART board and iPads, which can incorporate age-appropriate software and programs and be easily integrated in the classroom.

I H AV E N E V E R L E T M Y S C H O O L I N G INTERFERE WITH MY EDUCATION - MARK T WA I N

I appreciate this quote on the notion that schooling is defined as the materialistic aspects of learning like lessons, books, assignments while education is the actual connections, debates/hands-on learning, and information that one takes from said schooling. With that said, it is important that my education is not overwhelmed by book and assignments that I am not actually learning.
