with the Marist musical. He has been doing theatre since he was in 5th grade and has been in over 25 shows since. He currently dances for Adagio Dance Co. Next year Gabe plans on going into musical theatre for college. He thanks all of the students for helping him get such great experience learning to direct and choreograph. Rachel Michel, 13, over the past three years, has helped teenagers and adults confidently carry themselves through the use of make-up and hair tools on and off the stage. She believes make-up is a form of visual artistry that contributes to an actors authenticity. Rachel's favorite Disney character is Cinderella. Whether it was at home or at the ball, she knew a good attitude and a dazzling pair of shoes always stirs up folks!

Danielle Wagner, 14, enjoys dancing, Anthony Pangori, 13, is happy


to be helping backstage in his second Marist production. Anthony has played trumpet for four years and is currently in Marist Advanced Band. He is also very involved in sports, including: Michigan Impact travel soccer team, Marist Cross county team, Marist Varsity basketball and Marist Track & Field this Spring. He also loves to downhill ski, bike, and hang out with his friends. Anthony's favorite Disney character is Dash from The Incredibles because he is very FAST and loves to RUN!! acting and playing with her dogs. She has been in plays since the first grade and last year she was in Seussical Jr. and wanted to try back stage this year. Danielle's favorite Disney character is Sleeping Beauty because she is the first person I met when I was on a Disney cruise for my 3rd birthday.

Christian Andre, 13, is the King of Hearts. This is his first performance at Marist Academy, but this is not his debut. He also performed as Randy in A Christmas Story at Avon Players Theatre in 2008. Christian plays percussion in the Marist Advanced Band and is very interested in the sciences and math. He would like to thank his mother for her support. Mushu from Mulan is Christian's favorite Disney character because he is very humorous and is confident despite his small stature.

Ishwar Surendran, 11, has been in two plays before: The Mysterious
Case of the Missing Ring and The Monster in my Closet. Ishwar plays
basketball and runs track. He lives with his mom, dad, brother, grandma, and dog. Ishwar's favorite Disney character is the Mad Hatter because he always makes him laugh when he watches Alice in Wonderland.

The Musicians

Patrick Convery, 14, has enjoyed his time under the spotlight. He

was the lead as Captain Shang in his fifth grade play Mulan. Patrick also taken center stage as George, who was "just a bill on capitol hill " and sang Three is a Magic Number in School House Rock Live, Junior. Just last year he was the Mayor of Whoville in Seussical. Once again he joins the fray and delivers beautiful acting, singing, dancing, and a great sense of humor to the show Alice in Wonderland. Pacha from The Emperors New Groove is Patrick's favorite Disney Character because he is simple and sincere.

Spencer Beasley, 13, has played trombone in the Marist band for 3 years and was selected and participated in the 2013 District 9 Honors Band.

Jon Grossberg, 13, loves to play basketball, the


drums, and his favorite subject is math. Jons favorite Disney character is Goofy because he is silly and funny.

Kacey Edmonds, 13, is so excited to play The Queen of Heart this


year, and she has found out that sometimes playing a villain can be a lot more fun. Kacey loves to play softball with her travel team; The Michigan Bulldogs, and she also loves to sing and bake. Kacey loves goofing around with her friends and family, and she likes to have fun. Kacey loves to watch Disney movies and she loves to have her friends over to watch them with her. Kacey loves all animals, and her favorite animal is an elephant. She enjoys summer vacation, and being herself. Kacey has a younger brother named Josh, who she loves a lot. Kacey would like to thank her parents; Sandra and Nathan, for helping her through the past couple years. Kacey is so excited to perform in Alice in Wonderland this year and she hopes to be able to perform in the high school plays in the future. Kacey's favorite Disney character is Dori, because she always says, Just keep swimming which she interprets as just keeping going, and she is always staying positive.

Tonia Li, 12, absolutely loves music!


She is a flutist. Tonia's favorite Disney character is Timon from the Lion King, because he is funny.

Arman Muqueem, 13, loves to read, solve Rubiks cubes of all sorts and play video games. He is a percussionist. Armans favorite Disney character is Oswald because he is cunning and witty.

Chloe Fazzini, 13, loves music theater! Her most recent role was that
of Brigitta in NDPs The Sound of Music. She has also played the roles of Mayzie La Bird in Marists Seussical, Jr. and Dina in School House Rock Live Jr. She is a competitive dancer at OADPA in Oxford and has danced there for nine years. Chloes dream is to some day be a voice over artist and do musical movies like Frozen, which is currently her favorite movie.

Marshall Weimer, is the Music


Director of the Marist Musicians. He is a freshmen who was in the Marist Drama Club for 3 years playing characters including Blackbeard and The Grinch. He plays the alto sax for NDP. This year Marshall played JV football, is currently on the Varsity wrestling team and will be playing lacrosse in the spring.

Chloe's favorite Disney character is Anna from Frozen because she can really relate to her as a young, awkward teenager that has loads of love in her heart.

Chris Walter, 12, has played trumpet


since 4th grade and is a member of the Marist Advanced Band. Pluto is his favorite Disney character because both Pluto and Chris like to play soccer.

Emma Fredin, 13, has been in more than 8 productions in her past Margaret Modovsky, 12, was in The Nutcracker when she was only 4
years old. She enjoys acting and has been in the yearly play every year both at her old school and the Lower Division. Margarets hobbies include photography, writing stories, biking, reading, and acting. She has one brother, a dog and a cat. When Margaret grows up, she wants to be a photojournalist or an author. She wants to give a very special thanks to her family for supporting her and driving her back and forth to the practices, all her friends in the Drama Club so that she has a fun experience along with learning the play. Margaret also wants to give a very humongous thank you to everyone who made this play happen such as the cast, crew, musicians and all the people who made the set and the costumes. (That is very helpful to the cast!) Margaret's favorite Disney character has to be Pascal from Tangled because he is just so adorable, fun and colorful! years. Emma has three sisters who are all into music, acting, singing, and dance. In her free time Emma likes to hang out with her friends, act, do gymnastics, and sing. When Emma was in 4th grade she was the Baby Billy Goat in the production of Stories Under the Big Top at the lower division. The next year Emma was the maid in the play The Case of the Missing Ring. Later that year Emma was a village child in the high schools musical Beauty and the Beast. In 6th grade Emma was in School House Rock Jr. Last year Emma was Gertrude Mc. Fuzz in Seussical the Musical Jr. She wants to thank her family and friends for always supporting her. Emma's favorite Disney character is Rapunzel from Tangled. She loves her story and her attitude. She loves how she is a determined strong girl who knows what she wants.

Sydney Lintol, 13, has been in The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Mr.

Sana Muqueem, 12, appeared in her very first performance on stage


in a ballet recital when she was quite little. Later, she performed in 2 drama plays at Notre Dame Marist Academy in the lower division. Sanas hobbies include painting her nails, listening to music, taking pictures, and of course, watching Disney movies with her family. I have a brother and a dog along with the best parents in the world! I would like to give a special thanks to supportive family and to Walt Disney for even creating this amazing movie! Sana's favorite Disney character would be hard to choose considering she is a HUGE Disney fan, but she thinks that her favorite character would be Minnie Mouse because they both share a love for hair bows!

Toads Mad Adventures, Schoolhouse Rock, Seussical, andThe Witches. Her favorite role was The Grand High Witch and she prac-

tices being evil to her brother every chance she gets. She loves ski racing, water skiing, reading, summer vacation, playing with her dog, and hanging out with her friends. Sydney would like to thank her voice instructor, Segrid, who she wouldnt have gotten anywhere without, and her family and friends. Sydney's favorite Disney character is Winnie the Pooh because he is really cute...so are all of his friends!

Lia Mastroianni, 13, is participating in her second play at Marist. She


has previous acting experience, appearing as a jungle creature, Who, and dancer in the Marist production of Seussical Jr. and as Aubrey in a school production of Aubrey The Snowflake. She has participated in Destination Imagination, which required both creativity and acting. She also has seven years of dance experience. Lia enjoys listening to music, playing the guitar, playing soccer and hanging out with family and friends. Lia would like to thank Ms. Lintol, Ms. Piper, Mr. Fazzini, family and friends for their support and encouragement. Lia's favorite Disney character is Belle because she is intelligent, has an active imagination, is open minded, cares more about others than herself, witty, and is strong-willed.

Anna Grace ODonovan, 11, has been in The Wizard of Oz, Rats, and

the Christmas Pageant. She has had numerous choir solos at her old school, and here at NDPMA. Her favorite role she played was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. Anna loves music, singing and acting, and hanging out with her best friends. She also loves being with her sisters. Anna wants to thank her family and friends for supporting and encouraging her. Anna's favorite Disney character is Gus Gus from Cinderella.

Olyvia Smoger, 11, is appearing in her first play and she is enjoying
every bit of it! She loves working with other people from different grades and seeing what others strengths are like are they good at dancing or singing or acting. Olyvia loves to hang out with friends and play sports like volleyball, dance and ski. Some hobbies of hers are arts and crafts, and painting. Every day after play practice she comes home to her wonderful mom and dad, her two brothers, and her dog Bella. Olyvia would like to give a special thanks to her family that supported her through every step of the way, and any of her family that came to see her perform. She would also like to give a special thanks to the cast and Ms. Lintol, Mr. Taylor, Mr. Fazzini because they all made this show happen and made it a wonderful show for all ages. Olyvia's favorite Disney character is Rapunzel from Tangled because she is very courageous and brave to go with a total stranger like Flynn Rider and to face her evil mom.

Varsha Nama, 13, has performed in one other Marist Academy play,
Seussical Jr., in which she played the role of Mrs. Mayor. She loves
singing and dancing, and being artsy. Varsha likes being part of the drama club because she gets to sing and dance and show off her talents while having fun with her friends. She also loves getting to experience the rush of being onstage, and the feeling of adrenaline right before stepping into the spotlight in front of a large crowd. Varsha would like to thank her family for their support, especially her mom, who drives her every day to rehearsals, whether it be dance class or home or where ever she may be, and makes sure to pack a snack. One of Varshas favorite Disney characters is Anna from Frozen. Varsha likes Anna because she is always optimistic, and she believed in her sister, when no one else did.

Kelly Niepokuj, 13, has been in many other Marist plays before such

as Seussical Jr., School House Rock Jr., Twinderella, and Stories Under the Big Top. Kelly is a very fun and energetic girl. She is a former Marist cheerleader and volleyball player. Kelly loves to sing and dance which is just another reason she is doing the Marist play. Kelly is an only child and has a mom (Beth) and dad (Rob) whom she loves very much. She also has a dog (Gracie). She would like to thank her parents who support her everyday and tell her she can do it. Kelly loves doing the Marist plays because it is a great way to get together with friends and have a great time. Kelly's favorite Disney character is Minnie Mouse because she has always been a good role model.

6th Grade Brooke Bandy, 12, has been doing plays since she was 5. Brooke loves
to act because she gets to be someone else and leave all of her problems behind. Brooke's favorite Disney character is Peter Pan because he is a kid forever, so he doesn't have to worry about anything except the things that he loves.

Lydia Evans, 11, has been in one play called Sleeping Beauty. She was
the owl and a royal servant. They had to do everything in one week, learn the songs, dances, and memorize all of our lines. Then would perform in front who ever came to the play, it was mostly kids parents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sister and there where also some teachers there. Over all it turned out to be great. She also participated in the variety show in her school for five years. In the variety show she would dance and do tricks. She knew how do these tricks because she was in gymnastics for 4 years. She also did hip-hop and jazz for three years. Sport wise Lydia plays soccer, volleyball, softball, competitive ski, and also loves to wakeboard and kneeboard. Those are just a few things about Lydia! Lydia's favorite Disney character is Rapunzel from the movie Tangled, because she always acts so happy and free.

Maya Patel, 13, preformed in Aubrey the Snowflake as a popsicle in

the third grade. In fifth grade Maya also preformed in The Wiz and was Ms. Three. This is the first time that she has been in a Marist Academy play. She likes to draw, sculpt, paint, watch movies, swim, visit family, travel, perform in plays, ski, and play volleyball for Oakland Elite. She wants to thank her family for being supportive of her and encourage her interest in acting. Maya's favorite Disney character is Dory because she thinks she is funny.

Asha Raghavan, 13, is acting for the first time in a play. Asha has
played the flute for four years and she had a solo in Seussical last year. Asha has participated in robotics and Destination Imagination. Asha is in several clubs like student council, yearbook, drama, robotics, band, and more. She enjoys listening to music, playing soccer, taking pictures, watching movies, writing, and hanging out with friends and family. Asha is very excited to be a part of this years play and she cant wait to be on stage! She would like to thank all of her friends and her amazing family for supporting her in everything she does. Ashas favorite Disney character is Mulan because when she faced adversity, she didnt wait for someone else to solve her problems. No one thought she could save everyone, but she proved everyone wrong. Asha thinks she is the bravest of all the Disney characters because she took on the most difficult task of all...finding yourself.

Clare Hampel, is performing in her second NDPMA production. Prior


to, Alice in Wonderland, Jr., she appeared as Marta VonTrapp in the Notre Dame Prep Player's performance of The Sound of Music. Clare enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, singing and being on stage.

Clares favorite Disney character is Rapunzel from Tangled because she seems like someone fun to know. She swings with her hair, paints pictures, and hangs out with her pet chameleon. She is also funny because she uses a frying pan as a weapon and locked Flynn Rider in the closet. Most of all, Clare likes Rapunzel because she puts others first and she is always true to herself.

Mackenzie Hanigan, 11, is a fun and creative person. She plays basketball for the girls Marist team and enjoys volleyball. She has been dancing since she was 2 years old, and enjoys being on the stage. Even though Mackenzie has done acting in the past this is her first Marist play! When she was in 1st grade she was in her first play. It was called the Three Piggy Opera. She played the 3rd little pig and had the chance to sing 2 solos. In 2nd grade she did another play and played a lady bug. Her last recent play was called the Granny Awards. In that, Mackenzie played Cinderella and got to sing a solo again. Mackenzie was also in a skit, dance crew, and an ensemble. She enjoys acting because you can be you, but when you get up on the stage you are someone new for that short time! Mackenzie really likes Tinker bell, she is a spunky fairy that can do anything she puts her mind to.

Jonah Raleigh, 13, is extremely excited to be playing the White Rab-

bit in the production of Alice in Wonderland Jr. This is Jonahs second production at Notre Dame Marist Academy. In 7th grade, he played Thing 2 in Seussical Jr. When hes not acting, Jonah enjoys to watch and make movies, hang out with his friends, take pictures, and spend time with his family. Jonah loves to act and enjoys it very much. He would like to give a special thanks to his family for always supporting him in his everyday life. Jonahs favorite Disney character is Peter Pan because he is very energetic like him.

Tyler Rowe, 12, is very happy to be in this program. He has always loved
showbiz and loves to be on stage. He also plays lacrosse and basketball and likes videogames. Last year he was the main role in his schools play (Robin Hood) and had a great time. Tyler cannot wait for the performance to come and he hopes to do the best he can. This is Tyler's first year at Notre Dame Marist Academy, he had come from Kingsbury Country Day. He so far is loving Marist and is always very busy. At the moment he is on the JV Basketball team and he likes it a lot. Overall he has made many friends including Nolan Weimer and Zach Miller. Personally he misses his friends from Kingsbury but is warming up to Notre Dame pretty fast and cannot wait to go to the high school. Tyler is very happy at Notre Dame and is proud of how far he has come. Tyler's favorite Disney character would be Goofy. He likes Goofy because even though he isn't the smartest, he still has an amazing personality and a good sense of humor.

Thomas Ridge, 13, is making his third appearance in a Marist Acad-

emy production. In fifth grade, he played the Chinese Inspector in The Mysterious Case of the Missing Ring. In seventh grade, he played Vlad Vladikoff in Seussical Jr. Thomas participates in Science Olympiad and Forensics while he attends Marist Academy. Thomas also plays soccer for Michigan Impact. Thomas' favorite character is Mickey Mouse in Fantasia because he really likes magic and the character he plays in that movie.

Claire Seitzinger, 13, enjoys acting and participates in volleyball,


track , cross country, student council (she is President this year) and NJHS. She has been in many Marist plays including; Under the Big Top in 3rd grade, Twinderella in 4th grade, The Case of The Mysterious Missing Ring in 5th grade, School House Rock in 6th, Seussical in 7th, and now Alice in Wonderland. Claire would also like to thank her family and friends for great support and motivation. Claire's favorite Disney Character is Thumper from Bambi, he is so funny and cute and shows you how to have a good time.

ously she has been in the play Annie as Miss Hannigan and Aladdin as one of the harem girls. Playing on Oakland Elites State volleyball team, Kaitlyn is a busy girl. She enjoys singing, performing and loves to travel around the world. She hopes to sing her way to the top one day. Kaitlyn would like to thank everyone who has made this play possible, I couldnt have done this without any of you! Tinker Bell is Kaitlyns favorite Disney character. She dreams of flying like a fairy every second of her life. What inspires me so much about Tink is that she is very adventurous and never gives up. I think she is the only fairy who gets to really live life to the fullest in Pixie Hollow! says Kate. Also they both have so much in common! Tinker Bell has so many friends that love her so much and support her wherever she goes. I felt very loved by the surrounding friends I had during the practices and rehearsals for this play and I thank them for that.

Sophie Shick, 14, has been performing in the Marist plays since her
6th grade year. She enjoys painting and drawing, and is a huge animal person. She plans to become a falconer and get a degree in animal science. On top of art and animals, she can play the piano and the alto saxophone. Also, Sophie would like to give a shout out to her parents, for being there for every performance and cheering her on all the way. Sophie's favorite Disney character is the Genie from Aladdin, because he is not only a hilarious character, but he had a heart and cared for Aladdin throughout the movie which makes him special.

hobbies are playing video games and reading. He has been playing Lacrosse for 7 years. Nolan has a Mom, Dad, and brother, Marshall. Nolan's Favorite Disney character is: Captain Jack Sparrow because he is very random and never follows the rules.

Matthew Wood, 12, loves music and acting! He has been in the NDPMA
plays since 3rd grade, and has enjoyed them every since! Matthew also loves to perform and write his own music. He has attended Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp over the summer, and majored in tenor voice. In his spare time he likes to play guitar, and upload covers of songs to YouTube. He also likes to play baseball, and spend time with his family watching college basketball, and The Big Bang Theory. Matt also loves to spend time with his friends in and outside of school. One of his favorite things about drama is that it is one of the ways that we can express himself. He would like to thank his past drama instructors who helped shaped him to the person he his today, and for his friends and family, who have been there for support. Matthew's favorite Disney character is probably Mickey Mouse. It seems that he is always there to cheer people up, and to give people a good laugh!

These roles include: Joseph in a Nativity scene play when he was four, a drama showcase when he was in 7th grade, where he played a pizza man, an annoying little brother who advertised a cologne that made all the foxy ladies love him and a boxing coach who advertised a fake product called Bicarbonal. He also played another annoying brother to a young girl named Darcy. His interests include playing on the computer, robotics, hanging out with friends, and bowling. Max likes the Mad Hatter! The reason is because he is just so random and jumpy all over the place. In that aspect, he is a little bit like Max.

Mary Yanik, 14, has been in the middle school performances starting

with School House Rock Live Jr., and last year performed in Seussical Jr. She was in chorus both years, and last year earned a small part as a narrator. This year she has her first named character as Tweedle Dum with one of her best friends as Tweedle Dee, and a lot more of her friends in the play as well. This makes the experience a lot more enjoyable for her and the audience. She loves to laugh and goof off with her friends and family, act, sing, play tons of sports, and make people happy! She would like to give a special thanks to her family, for pushing her to be more confident in herself. She would also like to thank her friends for being there for her and also encouraging her. She cannot wait for everyone to see her onstage laughing and just being herself. Mary doesn't actually doesnt have a favorite Disney character because she loves all of them in a special way. She thinks they are all unique and awesome that its so hard to choose!

Mikaela Crute, 12, has been in plays at mini Marist such as the Mom

in Monster Under My Bed and one of the detectives in The Mysterious Case of the Missing Ring. She loves to play volleyball, draw, hang out with her friends, and sing. She likes playing piano, guitar, and listening to music. She loves to travel and has traveled to many states and a few other countries. Recently, she went on a cruise to Curacao, Aruba, and Princess Cays. When she grows up, she wants to be a really good singer/ songwriter and teacher, after her cousin. Her and her family likes to go out on their boat. She enjoys going swimming (unless the water is freezing). She lives with her brother, mom, dad, and puppy, Otis. Mikaela would like to give a special thanks to parents for getting her to and from rehearsals, and supporting her. Mikaelas favorite Disney character is Ariel because she has a great attitude and believes in herself.

7th Grade Sara Ross Avery, 12, has previously performed as Sour Kangaroo in
last years Seussical Jr. The Wizard of Oz, Annie, Bye Bye Birdie and Hello Dolly. Sara participates in musical theatre with the Peanut Gallery Players and studies voice with Ms. Stacy White Cleaveland. Sara loves hanging out with her friends and would like to thank her friends and family for all their support in her crazy busy life. Her favorite Disney character is Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Belle was different from everyone else in her town but she embraced it instead of hiding it. Belle chose to do what was right to save her father before saving herself.

Grace Khouri, 12, has participated in one other show in 4th grade

called Thanksgiving Day where she was a pilgrim. This is Graces first show at Marist and is really excited for everyone to see it. Some of her hobbies are soccer, skiing, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. She also loves chocolate. Grace would like to thank her family for always supporting her and being there for her in everything that she does. Graces favorite Disney character is Olaf from Frozen because his personality is funny and nave so he is worth melting for.

Rachel Kloss, 12, has participated in the school plays both years. She
plays softball and enjoys hanging out with friends. She has one older sister. Her favorite game is the Game of Things and her favorite Disney movie is Frozen. She would like to thank Sabrina and former nanny Jen for encouraging her to be in the plays and for helping her become the person she is. She would also like to thank her parents for always being there for her and encouraging her to do her best. Her favorite Disney movie character is Olaf from Frozen because he is very caring and always optimistic.

Gabriella Bendtsen, 12, has been doing drama since she was four
years olds. She currently attends Mt. Zion Youth Theatre Group and has done over 8 plays. Including, Annie, Aladdin, Doo-Wop Wed Widing

Hood, Wipeout, The Rockin Tale of Snow While, Mirror Image, Beauty and the Beast, Willy Wonka, and is currently doing The Nifty Fifties.

Gabriella enjoys the whole package of singing, dancing, and acting. In her free time she loves to play guitar. A special thanks to her mom for doing the costumes. Gabriellas favorite Disney character is Rapunzel because she loves her personality.

Erin Patterson, 12, loves the theater and is excited to be part of


another production. She held the lead in her 5th grade play, was the Little Kangaroo in Seussical Jr. in 2013 and was in many plays before that. She can normally be found on the soccer field when not in school and also loves to water ski, snow ski and snow board. She is very active and wants to thank all her friends and family who continuously encourage and support her!! Cinderella is her favorite Disney character because she worked hard, stayed positive, and never gave up.

Ethan Carino, 13, is very excited to play a role in the 2013 Marist

Drama production of Alice in Wonderland. He is quite thrilled to be onstage at Marist for his second musical production. Not only does he enjoy drama, he also participates and favors martial arts, debate, and politics. He would like to thank his parents, relatives, Mr. Fazzini, Mrs. Shick, Mrs. Lintol, Mrs. Pieper, his friends, and first and foremost, The Holy Trinity.
