This is a source that contains a direct pdf from the American Behavioral Scientists. This source contains a report done about the Enumeration or counting of the homeless, especially within a suburban community. The source contains this as well as how the amount of homelessness in different structural conditions compare to each other. The way in which this helps me within my project is it allows me to know exactly how different areas of cities compare to each other when it comes to the amount of homeless, which in turn would help me target the problem spots of different areas and see which parts of cities often need the most help when it comes to the amount of homeless. This would also allow me to see exactly what the places that have the fewest amount of homeless have in common in order to see exactly what theyre doing right.

2. Burt, Martha, Laudan Y. Aron, Edgar Lee, and Jesse Valente. "Helping America's Homeless: CHAPTER ONE." Helping America's Homeless: CHAPTER ONE. N.p., n.d. Web. 24 Oct. 2013. <http://www.urban.org/ pubs/homeless/chapter1.html>.

This source is a sort of overview, and first chapter of a book about homelessness done by 4 researchers. The first chapter within the book is about the overall complexities of homelessness, as well as the changes within homelessness in the United States over history. This is very important to my project due to the simple fact that it is critical that I know exactly how homelessness has been effected over the past years. This chapter also includes how society reflected on the homeless over the years, which is another necessity to my project.

3. Cabrera, Carlos. "Chicago Homeless Magazine Wises Up." Chicago Journal. N.p., 30 Mar. 2011. Web. 03 Jan. 2014. <http://

This article talks about a homeless man named Lance Bartel who within a month went from making $82,000 a year and being happy with his family to alone, unemployed and discouraged about life. Within 3 months after beginning to sell StreetWise he is making 200-300 dollars a week and has a part time job where he used to work. This is a true story of how someone can fall from being comfortable to being homeless in a flash.

4. Chrisafis, Angelique. "Rising Homelessness in Paris: Does It Have the Most Rough Sleepers of the Big European Capitals?" The Guardian. Guardian News and Media, 06 Nov. 2013. Within this article, the life that Dasani and her family lives is explicitly exposed to the public. The good, the bad, and the very ugly. This is a critical article within my project due to the fact that it is not only just a personal connection that the reader can make, but also shows the harsh reality to living the homeless life as well as reiterating the fact

that a person can have a roof over their heads and still be very much homeless.

6. Gray, Steven. "Report Says 1 in 50 U.S. Kids Is Homeless." TIME.com. N.p., 10 Mar. 2009. Web. 03 Jan. 2014. <http:// content.time.com/time/nation/article/ 0%2C8599%2C1883966%2C00.html>.

This is in article done by Time Magazine that focuses on homeless youth within the U.S. Within the article a shocking statistic is revealed that in 2005-2006 about 1 in 50 children within the U.S were homeless. That simply means that in 2005-2006 about 1.5 million children in the U.S were homeless. That was compared to the 1.35 million homeless children in 2000. Simply put the number of homeless children had increased and the article claims that this is in direct correlation to the decline of the economy within that time. This is helpful to my project due to the fact that it allows me to show how outside forces directly affect homelessness in America, even youth homeless.

This is important for my paper because it allows me to see exactly which

rights of the homeless that are being protected by the government of the state of Rhode Island. This also allows me to have a sort of outline of what the entire country should do when it comes to protecting the rights of the homeless.
