French Pantheon Additions The Phantom of the Opera aka O.G., Erik, Opera Ghost, Angel of Music Erik, alias the Phantom, is a figure of both fear and reverence, and controller of the French underworld. In many ways, he has been the instigator of cultural revolution, and is undeniably a figure of absolute distinction in French folklore. The Phantom is both a genius and philosopher and a horror and monster. His iconic mask is both a representation of culture and beauty and, due to its bone-white similarity with a skull, walking death. Some say that he is a Scion who achieved apotheosis in the catacombs beneath the opera house; but wherever his origins lie, the Phantom is now the foremost god of cunning, culture and of course, death, in the French pantheon. He controls the French underworld, unlike Madam Guillotine who mainly just sends people there. It is a subject of much consternation as to why this is, and many people suspect that the Phantom forcibly took control of the underworld and shaped it to his own wishes and the appearance of the old opera house. Nevertheless, he is as vicious and strong as Madam Guillotine in his own way, and for the most part, the other French gods are content to appeal to his vanity and cultured side and allow him to carry on in his own way. He does not take to the mortal world very often, due to his mortal history of forever being within the theatre. To this end, when he does go into the world, he often takes up roles in the theatre- any he can find, so long as he can remain within the building. However, due to not even godhood allowing him to experience the joys of the flesh, he does what he was famous for and adopts what Scions he can- although he has a tendency to poach them from other gods before their visitations. The Phantom's Scions, as they were in the past, are always those who show exceptional talent in the field of art or performance. Sometimes, he will stretch and take on those who are skilled in the upkeep of a theatre or its stage work, but he is always far more picky. With the blessing of the angel of music, they often become phenomenal performers, the most exceptional in their field- but the Phantom is neither wise nor knowledgeable of restraint, and he often obsesses over the careers of his Scions. Many of the gods have to carefully hold him back from fatebinding himself by controlling their lives a little too much. His Scions tend to inherit his masterful mind and stealthiest, but if they are unlucky, also his grim appearance and mania. Associated Powers: Epic Appearance (always negative), Epic Perception, Epic Intelligence, Epic Manipulation, Epic Wits, Civitas, Death, Darkness Associated Powers: Art, Craft, Brawl, Presence, Stealth, Survival

Valjean aka Jean Valjean Eternal enemy of Inspector Javert, Valjean is the god of the lowest and poorest.

Perhaps a scion who never received his visitation or simply a poor man who history has raised to the highest station, Valjean is constantly, utterly unsure of what in the world he's doing as a god, but determined to do something with his power. He is unsure of his origins himself, but vaguely recalls urging Victor Hugo to tell his story in some way. Given that Hugo based the epic story that made his sad epic known on several smaller stories and tiny vignettes it is genuinely unknown how this sort of thing works, but Valjean somehow became as much of a god shaped by folklore and public renown as anything else. Perhaps, although he doesn't know it, Valjean is an agent of fate made up of a muddle of stories and forged into something else by mankind's dreams. What he does know is that wherever he goes, Javert will always be there with him, a fact that gives him no end of grief. Whoever or whatever Jean Valjean is, he is the patron of the poor man and the beggar and the street rat. He has found this on every street in every human city in the world, and not just France- the lot of the poor is the worst of all, especially now that the titans are free and nobody misses the poor when they're scooped up and eaten by some prowling zombie or monster in the alleys. He carries on as he did with Cosetteconstantly struggling between the grim fate of the criminal and thief and doing everything he can with meagre resources to elevate those as pathetic as himself to something better. In many ways, he is incapable of recognising his powers as a god due to some mental block, and among the French gods, he spends the most time wandering the world, divested of almost all of his Legend, mingling amongst the people. His Scions are often born quite by accident and tend to bring him no small degree of guilt, thus he does his best to give them birthrights and gifts that will make them despise him less. Rather strangely, he often finds that this is not the case, and that many of his scions love their poor hard-done-by father. They are crusaders for social justice and do their absolute best to squash every titanspawn they can find. If there were more Scions like Valjean's in their dogged crusades then the world would be a much safer place. Associated Powers: Epic Wits, Epic Dexterity, Epic Perception, War, Civitas, Psychopomp, Mystery Associated Abilities: Larceny, Stamina, Medicine, Empathy, Integrity, Survival

Javert aka The Law Among the French gods, Inspector Javert is the law. He is so totally dedicated to this ideal that some of the French gods expect him to just cough and turn into the avatar of Justice at any given time. He is the eternal enemy of Jean Valjean, and the definitions of crime that he lived his life by have become so rooted in himself that they have become as much a part of his personality as anything else. Some believe that, much in the same way that Valjean cannot truly remember his origins, Javert is a forgotten, traumatised god or scion from the depths of French history who has buried some ancient failure or trauma under an iron-hard barrier of lawmaking and inflexible, dogged pursuit of Valjean. If only he could somehow prove that Valjean was in some way the man he always thought he was, then maybe...

Javert goes wherever there is lawlessness. In the World, he has served in the police departments of every country in the world, and where there is not one, he has taken the law into his own hands. He is a frightening god, utterly rigid in his worldview that all crime is evil and all criminals are unforgivable. Of course, the escape from the titans from their prison drove him practically mad with the urge to bring them to justice, and among all of the gods, he is the one who labours the most over the construction of a new and better prison for them. He and his scions always brings titanspawn in in chains, flinging them into whatever gaol he can find or construct, and his pursuit of their mad schemes is second to none. Some wonder how he finds the time to sire scions when he is so busy in his pursuit of black, cold justice. His Scions thankfully rarely share his absolute commitment to justice or his utter, wicked dedication to the idea of a black and white world. He certainly EXPECTS them to, and many of the birthrights he gives them are totally oriented towards this idea. They are his deputies in the police force, and he relies on them to arrest the titans. This makes them exceptionally good at what they do, but gives them a reputation which often precedes them. The news of a scion of Javert can send titanspawn running to abandon their schemes in terror... or it can drive them on even harder to cause as much mayhem as possible before their inevitable capture. Reynard the Fox aka Reineke, Renart, Reinaert, Reginhard Infamous trickster and cunning hero of the people, Reynard is in some ways the other side of the coin to his fellow god of the oppressed poor, Valjean. Reynard is a friend of Robin Hood, Coyote and all those who would use their wits and cunning to rise above their station and pull one over on the nobility, be they human or animal. A frequent foe of the many courts of anthropomorphic animals that make up many lesser immortals, Reynard rose from this station through fame and folklore. Indeed, his origins may not even lie in France proper, having probably ran from some trouble in his place of origin and finding a lot more good he could do here. Wherever he goes, and whoever he gets in trouble with, Reynard is famous for using his head to outwit his foes, be they the aristocracy or the titans. He has faked his death more than half a dozen times and always sprung a wonderful revenge on his enemies when they cannot resist gloating about his doom. He has taken a significant interest in perpetuating his legend in the World, often disguising his core concept in some way. He has lent his name to heroes and villains alike, and one of his greatest tricks on Robin Hood was to entwine his legend with his like two balls of string. Other gods tell Reynard that this will cause terrible things to happen should he fall out of Fate's graces, but Renard flaunts Fate as part of his daily life. The more famous he is, the better, and the fact that the idea of the fox is synonymous with a trickster in many cultures speaks volumes of how far and wide he has spread his identity. Many individuals wonder just what his connections to the kitsune are, for example.

When he takes human form, Reynard often enjoys visiting the world to go looking for a pretty girl, especially since his wife Hermelline abandoned him one too many times and he revenged himself on her one too many times. He has an odd tendency to trick his scions as much as any other, giving them birthrights with bizarre purposes or appearances. They love to tell people the stories about their father and often find themselves in public media, furthering his egotism through their appearances on TV and film. Associated Powers: Epic Dexterity, Epic Manipulation, Chaos, Civitas, Animal (Fox) Associated Abilities: Fortitude, Marksmanship, Larceny, Stealth, Presence, Animal Ken

Mother Goose aka ursery Rhyme, Mother Hubbard Whether a writer of fables and poems in La Muse Historique, the wife of King Robert II or a woman from Massachusetts- and likely all three of them- Mother Goose over time came to be representative of the majority of commonly known and traditional fables and stories across Europe. In truth of fact, Mother Goose was all of them, and has her origins as a nameless storyteller from the depths of history. In the sense that all heroes and scions become that way through people telling stories of their exploits and legend, she is considered to be something of a figure of reverence amongst those who speculate about her origins. Whatever her origins, Mother Goose now walks among the world doing what she has always done- perpetuating the legends of Scions both old and new. Because of the enduring image and timeless popularity of her namesake rhymes, and indeed the tendency of almost all fairy tales to find a fundamental connection to her, Mother Goose has a significant degree of power and authority she can wield, should she wish. She does not. When she appears in the World, it is as she always has been- a cuddly old grandmother, a worker at an orphanage, media executive, book authoranywhere she can perpetuate her encyclopaedic knowledge of old stories and fairy tales. She knows that it is her whimsy that provides fundamental aspects of almost every child in the western world, and does everything she can to make children happy and teach them the lessons in her rhymes. The Scions of Mother Goose take this on, and make protecting children their top priority. Where their mother cannot take as much of an active role, they do so in her stead- fighting against bullying, child abuse and misery wherever and whoever may cause it- human or titanspawn. They inherit their mother's fundamental ability to draw and enthral crowds around them, and almost always use this ability for benevolence. Ai Apaec aka Paeces, Aia Ai Apaec, The Decapitator Description: Originally the supreme sky deity of the Moche people, Ai Apaec was ousted from his position by Inti, the Incan God of the Sun and his people absorbed into the Incan Empire. Beaten but left alive Ai Apaec wandered the World until he met Tezcatlipoca one night at a crossroads. Tezcatlipoca had descended to the World to challenge mortals (and prove his own superiority) but found Ai Apaec instead. The two Gods dueled for 3 days and nights before Ai Apaec severed Tezcatlipocas foot. (Tezcatlipoca has maintained he lost it while creating the World with Quetzalcoatl ) As a show of respect Tezcatlipoca invited Ai Apaec into The Atzlanti and he accepted. Since then Tezcatlipoca has done all he could to hinder Ai Apaec holding him only second, behind Quetzalcoatl, on his list of enemies. Ai Apaec was the protector of the Moche, Provider of water, food, and victory in battle. He usually appeared as a young, muscular man with large fangs wearing a Jaguar headdress, snake head earrings, and a double headed snake as a belt. He holds a blood covered Half moon shaped blade in one hand, and the severed head of his latest foe, or sacrifice, in the other. In modern times he appears as a young man, interesting looking, but not handsome, dressed to intimidate not impress. He has been a bodyguard, a Special Forces soldier, a migrant worker, and an M.M.A. fighter Ai Apaecs Scions are as eclectic a mix as their father. They seek out challenges in an effort to change the world, and prove their own prowess in the world. This could be anything from teaching Special Ed students in an under funded school system, to leading their teammates to a championship title, to taking on large corporations in court, to winning a blue ribbon at the county fair. They are soldiers, public defenders, and cops, as easily as they are farmers, street racers, and gang members. If there is a pecking order they want to know where they stand and arent satisfied until its on top. Despite this drive they are loyal to those they consider friend, and staunch defenders of those who need it. Associated Powers: Animal(Jaguar, Snake),Epic Strength, Epic Appearance, Epic Intelligence, Guardian, Sky, War, Water Abilities: Brawl, Command, Craft, Melee, Presence, Survival Rivals: Tezcatlipoca, Tlaloc, Athena, Hachiman, Ogoun, Vishnu, The Morrigan, Lugh Creators otes: I changed the reason why Tezcatlipoca lost his right foot but it seems to be in line with his character. Wisakedjak aka Weesack-kachack, Coyote,Rabbit, Rave, Brer Rabbit, Whiskey Jack Description: Wisakedjak is one of the oldest Gods in the world, though one wouldnt know it from his behaviour. One of the First People, Gods worshiped under many names by the Native people of the North American continent, Wisakedjak is equal parts creator, trickster, and buffoon. While most people see him as nothing more than a wanderer, glutton, lecher, thief, cheat, outlaw, or clown, Wisakedjak is pragmatic and above all a survivor. Wisakedjak is above all a walking contradiction. He is a destroyer of order, when that order suppresses creativity, but a creator of order out of

formless chaos. Wisakedjak brings low those who are oppressive or to full of themselves, while helping those who have little or nothing. Wisakedjak is not cruel or kind without reason, like other Tricksters though. He has been the one humiliated by his own schemes on numerous occasions, but hell tell you with a wink and smile it was supposed to happen that way. Everything he does is to teach a lesson to those who need one, so while he may drink you under the table before skipping out on the bill, with your wallet, and your date remember youve probably done something to deserve it. During the 18th and 19th centuries Wisakedjak split time between the First People and the Loa helping the Native Tribes and the newly crossed slaves against the Federal government. Wisakedjak has never been one for maintaining a set form and whether he appears as an animal, human, or hybrid of the two or all three simultaneously depends on the mood hes in that day, or moment. In modern times he has kept this tradition up being everything from a stand up comedian, civil rights activist, investigative reporter, to porn star. He chooses his look and occupations based on whats going to provoke the strongest reaction out of his targets. His Scions are just as driven and unique as he is. They dress to impress or shock and choose careers that allow them to help those who need it or help bring down those who deserve it, in their opinion. They are quick with a joke or story and will party until dawn on a whim. They hold to their own moral code and will work outside the law as often as within it. They are often underestimated by others, but only the first time. Associated Powers: Epic Dexterity, Epic Charisma, Epic Manipulation, Epic Wits, Animal(Coyote, Rabbit, Corvid), Chaos, Illusion Abilities: Awareness, Empathy, Larceny, Presence, Stealth, Survival Rivals: Anansi, The Dagda, Sun Goku, Kelfu Holda AKA Frau Holle, Hludana, erthus, Frau Guaden Description: Spinner of threads, Matron of Women and their chores, Protector of Children, Matron of Witches, Mistress of the Remote Places. Holda is an ancient goddess who's most common forms are a Snaggle Toothed old crone and a beautiful Maiden all in white. Holda rewards hard work and punishes the lazy. In modern times she has been the leader of a Wiccan order, Director of a women's shelter, Juvenile Counsellor, and Fashion Designer. Her children are also driven individuals who don't take shortcuts, and never walk away from a task until it is completed. Benzaiten aka Benten, Bensaiten Although some believe that she is simply another aspect of the goddess Sarasvati, this goddess of Arts, Beauty, and the Sciences is a true member of the Amatuskami and

neither her nor Sarasvati mind the confusion and are friends. Like Amateratsu, she focuses on strengthening and protecting the people of Japan but making sure that their work can improve the country in some way. In the World, shes taken on roles such a beautiful Noh actress, an adorable and energetic manga writer or even an old scientist with a twinkle in her eye that few can resist. Regardless, she seems to focus more on the Arts and Sciences aspects of her life more than the Beauty, but that part of her life always seems to sneak in some form. She also wears some symbol of a snake in her mortal guises, whether it be on a ring or even a t-shirt, for example. While she may be very busy at times, she does make sure to check in with her children whenever she can.. Her Scions are energetic people, eager to change the world with their inspirational ideas. In terms of their looks, they usually are attractive people but they either dont realize it or dont pay attention to it at all. While they might be not the best fighters, their intelligence and charisma definitely make them useful soldiers in the War against the Titans. Associated Powers: Epic Intelligence, Epic Charisma, Epic Appearance, Animal (Snake), Guardian, Water, Tusko-Gami Assocated Skills: Animal Ken, Academics, Art, Science, Empathy, Presence Airmed aka one Known Daughter of Dian Cecht, Airmed was a skilled healer who some said was even better than her father. After her father created a hand made out of silver for Nuada, she worked with her brother Miach to fashion a new hand out of flesh. The fact that his children did better than him angered Dian Cecht so much that he killed his son. From Miach's grave many healing herbs grew, which she collected and organized, leading her to be known as the goddess of herbal healing and magic While this strained the relationship between father and daughter greatly, she maintains her duty to guard and tend to her father's sacred healing spring, at least when she is not in the World Airmed usually takes on the role of someone associated with plants or medicine in some way, such as a botanist, a New Age healer, or even the owner of a small flower shop. Most who encounter her remember her smile and her gentle pleasing demeanour, but are truly impressed by her knowledge of each and every plant and herb she sees. Her Scions usually go along similar job routes, always willing to help those who are injured. They also remain very close to their family and loved ones, even after their Visitation. Unfortunately, this also makes them more likely to be Fatebound to the Scion in question. Favoured Purviews: Enech, Fertility, Health, Magic, Water, Epic Intelligence Favoured Abilities: Awareness, Craft, Empathy, Medicine, Occult, Survival Chiuacoatl aka one Known Creator of humanity along with Quetzacoatl. While Chiuacoatl is sometimes seen as a fair young maiden among the fields, she is usually seen as a old woman, covered in war paint and carrying a shield in one hand. Despite this look, she is known mainly as

the goddess of fertility and childbirth. To her, mothers (Especially those that died during childbirth) were as strong as those warriors who fought on the fields of battle if not stronger and as such deserved the same amount of respect. When in the World, she usually takes on a role that shows her strength or her devotion to children, but never both. On one occasion she can take on the form of an Iraq War Veteran, eager to show that she can shoot and fight as strongly as any of the men of her unit or an accomplished athlete. In another, she can take on the form of the caring mother or OBGYN or teacher, doing whatever it takes to protect and nuture children. Her Scions usually focus on one of these aspects of her mother, but have been known to shown both. Regardless, they would do whatever it took, even if it meant sacrificing themselves to protect the young and innocent while being respectful to everyone unless they disrespect them or someone close to them. In that case, said person becomes the Scion's worst enemy. Associated Powers: Death, Fertility, Health, Itzli, War, Epic Strength, Epic Stamina Associated Abilities: Craft, Fortitude, Medicine, Melee, Presence, Survival Hemrod aka Hermoth Another of Odin's sons, Hemrod is known as the messenger god of the Aesir as well as the one who, at the time of Ragnarok, will be riding his father's steed Slepnir to Hel to beg her for the return of Baldur. Until then, he has become fascinated with the lives of the mortals, especially they transport messages and items from one place to another. As such, he usually takes roles associated with such things when he is in the World, from an airplane pilot to a bike messenger to a simple mailman. No matter what, he never stays in one place for too long, but always seems to have a smile on his face as he enjoys his wanderings. His Scions are exactly like their father. Eternal wanderers, they never stay in one place too long but also know of their duty and won't move until the task is completed, whether it be fighting titanspawn or making sure a special message or item gets to its proper places Associated Powers: Animal (Horse), Jotunblut, Psychopomp, Sky, Epic Dexterity, Epic Stamina Associated Abilities: Animal Ken, Awareness, Control, Fortitude, Integrity, Survival Vali aka Ali, Bous, Beav Son of Odin and Rind, the God of Vengeance was created with one purpose in mind and that was to slay Hod for his role in Baldur's death. However, as time has gone and even a few the Aesir are beginning to wonder if Ragnarok will ever truly occur, even Vali begins to doubt his purpose. It has led to him being unsure of everything about him, except his role as a God of Vengeance. It has gone so far as that he has taken on both male and female forms in the World, but always associated with death and vengeance in some way, whether it be a Mafia hitman, a CIA assassin, a hard-edge District Attorney, or a funeral director, or something similar

His/Her Scions also tread on this path as well, associating themselves with death without hesitation, making sure them or any one they care about or love that is hurt in anyway is properly avenged. They remain loyal to the end to the Aesir and their Bandmates and maintain an aura about them that feels both dangerous and alluring to those around them. Despite their somewhat dark natures, they always stay on the side of the Gods as they know the path they walk is for them alone. riu aka Banba, Fodla Description: riu is the Tuatha D Danaan Goddess of Soverignty and sister of the Morrigan. She is entrusted with the right to determine the rule of the land. Before anyone can become leader of the Tuatha D Danaan, the last task they must face is to be tested by riu. Over the course of a day and a night she tests them with rituals and prophecy to see if the land will benefit from their rule. If she is satisfied that they will be a good ruler for the land she then offers them a sip from the Cup of Sovereignty and as they drink from it they are considered to have started their reign. On the other hand if riu rejects the would be ruler, then no matter their personal merit, they will not be able to become leader of the Tuatha D Danaan. When the Tautha D Danaan were withdrawing from the mortal realms, the Milesian bard Amergin asked for riu's consent for their rule of the land. riu agreed on the requirement that the land be named for her and to the current day Ireland is also know as ire in her honour. In modern times riu tends to spend most of her time focused on ire. She has taken on the role of an investigative reporter bringing business and political scandals to light. She has been involved in tribunals investigation political corruption. General Winter aka The Cold Death, The Grim Reaper of the Snow, Old Man Winter General Winter is an ancient being, one that predates most of the pantheons, and indeed, most of the world's history. Much like many such beings, his origin and history are a bit more complicated than many modern Gods and their Scions are entirely comfortable with, but in these times of need few would be willing to deny his aid. General Winter's origin began in the ancient war of the Titans and the Gods. The entity that would become the General started off as a spawn of Ymir, the Titan of Frost, and served on the front lines in the first conflicts. He was not the strongest or the smartest of Ymir's servants, but even then he had a dogged persistence and a sly cunning that was the bane of many a more powerful foe. He battled the early Aesir and Vanir and lived to tell the tales, gaining much wisdom in the process. He is known to have slashed Mimir in combat and tasted of his ichor, gaining a great deal of insight from the seer's essence. He even briefly delayed Odin at the final battle with Ymir's chief avatar, then escaped before the future All-Father could slay him for his impertinence. Fleeing the death of his father, the young General fled to a distant land in the east to nurse his wounds and contemplate his fate. He would emerge centuries later, when the Gods had established their dominance and sealed away the Titans. He evaded their pursuit of remaining spawn and in time would come to lash out against the humans who settled in his land. In imitation of his father he would strike with bitter cold. Unlike Ymir, General Winter came to prefer strategy to brute force. He knew all too well the effects of cold on others, and after a few centuries of lording it as a feared and worshipped deity of the ice, he came to prefer letting others come to him. When the first invaders came to what would be known as Russia, he struck out fiercely in defence of the people he had adopted as "his". At the time, his was a jealous and possessive anger. He battled with storms and snow, fury and cunning. He became known as a fierce protector of the Russian people, worshipped as the Old Man of the Winter who devoured their foes. When the early Russian pantheon developed they found that the Titanspawn had too entrenched a position amongst their people to be destroyed without triggering a deadly counterblow from Fate. Indeed, Fate would shape the spawn into the being he is today. Over time his attitude

towards the Russian people became one of almost benevolence. He became a protector in truth, Fatebound to the role of guardian of his people. Like Sun Wukong, he would transition from Titanspawn to full God, and find a place in the pantheon of his people. God of war and strategy, merciless enemy, stoic but loyal friend, he would become General Winter, and he would stand as staunch ally and protector of Russia no matter what came. Thus it was that when the Axis forces invaded the Russian Overworld they went first for the General. For once he was caught off-guard, not able to employ his tactics of slowly wearing down a foe before shattering them. His old enemies among the Aesir took him hostage to demoralize their enemies, but this did not stop him. He would escape late into the war and return to bedevil them once more during the failed invasion of Russia. When the war ended, it would be General Winter standing by Rodina Mat's side as the Axis forces left Russia's overworld, face as grim and icy as ever. During the long years of the Cold War, it would be General Winter who advocated most fiercely for any option that enhanced the Soviet Union's military might and the Soviet pantheon's defence capabilities against any aggressor. Even now, he regards the world with hostile suspicion, never having forgotten his imprisonment or the invasion of his beloved Russia. The Scions of General Winter tend to be a dour, practical lot. Many of them favour professions that let them handle weapons and exercise a fatalistic sense of irony. The General favours Scions who exhibit both brains and brawn, and is known to adopt Scions of any pantheon who can meet his exacting criteria. Any recruit can be of use in protecting Russia, and the General has no problems with poaching, especially from the Aesir. In modern times he appears as massive, broad man of clearly Russian descent, usually with pale blondish-white hair, clear blue eyes, and a military uniform in colours of white and pale blue. Associated Powers: Epic Stamina, Epic Intelligence, Epic Wits, Frost, Sky, Illusion, Psychopomp, Guardian, War Abilities: Melee, Command, Fortitude, Integrity, Presence, Survival Rivals: Odin, Thor, Vidar, Freyr, Freya, Izanagi, Hachiman, Raiden Created by Mysteris

Cuchulainn aka Cu Chulaind, The Hound of Ulster, Setana Description: The son of Lugh, fostered by the King of Ulster, Conchobar mac Nessa, and the famed warrior Fergus mac Roich (among others), and taught the arts of war by the deadly warrior-woman Scathach, Cuchulainn was destined for greatness and an early death from the moment he took up arms at the tender age of seven. After a childhood of exploits greater than those of most heroes in their prime, seventeen-yearold Cuchulainn managed to defend Ulster from the combined armies of southern Ireland by himself while the men of Ulster lay under birthing pangs caused by the curse of the goddess Macha. His deeds as an adult were also legendary, as was his beauty, but it was not to last, for Cuchulainn was forced to break his geasa and then died shortly thereafter, but with the re-emergence of the Titans he has returned to prove himself once again.

In the modern world, Cuchulainn has been a soldier, a bodyguard, a professional soccer player, an Olympic javelin thrower, the leader of a biker gang, a dog breeder, and even occasionally a particularly intense professor of Irish literature. Whatever he's doing, he always manages to do it better and more spectacularly than anyone could have imagined. While Cuculainn is undoubtedly one of the best warriors in the world, he never wins a battle through sheer strength if he can win instead through cleverness (or, by modern standards, "cheating"). Cuchulainn very rarely fathers Scions. The death of Connla weighs heavily on him though Enech required the killing and he is loathe to be put in that situation again. He does have frequent affairs, though, any one of which could result in a child through the intervention of Fate, and since Emer his wife is merely a Legendary Mortal, he could certainly father a Scion with her. In any case, Cuchulainn's few Scions are invariably capable of fighting with their heads in addition to their hands. Stubborn to a fault, they can be found charging into the most dangerous situations to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are truly the best. Associated Powers: Epic Strength, Epic Stamina, Epic Dexterity, Epic Appearance, Epic Wits, Animal (Dog), Enech, Guardian, War. Associated Abilities: Athletics, Fortitude, Integrity, Larceny, Melee, Thrown. Rivals: The Morrigan, Mannanan Mac Lir, Lugh; Herakles, Ares, Athena, Susanno-O, Tyr, Thor, Ogoun. Coventina aka Cuhvetena, Covventina, Disappearing Memory Description: Coventina started life as a nameless humble water spirit holding power over a single spring. However, after an earth spirit who had been courting her arranged to have a cistern built around her, she grew in power as her well became a common worship site. Soon, she was receiving patronage from all across western England to as far away as northern Spain, no mean feat for a water spirit! Many thousands of Celts tossed coins into wells wishing to Coventina for healing, good crops, or even just general beneficence. Unfortunately, it was not to last, for her rise to prominence brought her to the Lady of the Lakes attention, and the Lady wasnt about to let an upstart water nymph encroach on her turf as water goddess of the burgeoning England mythos. One day, Coventina awoke to find herself drifting across the Irish sea, banished from England forever by the Ladys magic. Falling to the deep, she was discovered and saved by Manannn Mac Lir. Though he could not break the Lady of the Lakes magic, he was struck by Coventinas story and vowed to help her return to her beloved spring and earth spirit husband (named Granite). He gave her admission to the Tuatha De Dannan and taught her the secrets of illusion, with which she was able to sneak back home, albeit only for brief trips. Since then, Coventina has been an irrigation specialist, an advice columnist, a water witch, a cruise doctor, a midwife, and a swimsuit model posing for good causes. Though often a little homesick, she manages to stay positive and her enthusiasm for helping those who show even the slightest bit of care can hardly be matched. True Scions of Coventina have the interesting distinction of being technically more divine than most other Scions: Coventina is faithful to her husband Granite (who goes

by Grant in the modern world), and thus only sires Scions when he takes on human form, generally giving the children to human parents to raise. These Scions tend to be caring individuals with seemingly endless energy for helping others with a rock-hard willfulness inherited from their father. However, some can be fiercely territorial, and few manage to find a place they can truly feel at home. Asherah aka Ashratu, Asherdu(s), Ashertu(s), Aserdu(s), Asertu(s), Athirat, Qodesh, Qudshu Title(s): Queen of Heaven, she who treads on the sea Asherah is the wife of El and the Queen of Heaven. Asherah was a chief goddess of the Canaanites, but was forcibly removed from the Hebrew Scriptures and her worship erased from among the common people. Leaving her beloved land, she travelled to Egypt where she was worshipped as a goddess known as Qudshu, a figure similar to Hathor. Eventually, Asherah left Egypt and went into seclusion somewhere in the Overworld. She emerged from centuries of seclusion when the Titans broke free of their chains and began battering various parts of the Overworld. She attempted to return to the Elohim, but found that the pantheon had vanished in time, overcome by the sole worship of her son, Yahweh. She thought to return to the Pesedjet, but realized that their views were too dissimilar. She wandered the world and the Overworld for some time before she began to hear prayers to her once again. Following the prayers, she landed in England where she met Eostre, who told her about the Indigites Dii. Hearing that Dagon was also involved, she gladly joined the rest of the displaced gods and goddesses. In Modern Times, Asherah wanders the World converting Christians, Hebrews, and Muslim women back to the worship of the Goddess. She tends to appear at Neo-Pagan gatherings to cultivate worship of the feminine. She usually appears as a very feminine, attractive woman of indeterminable age (or whatever age she wishes). Asherah does not belittle worship of the masculine. Instead she shows women (and men) that the Goddess is just as strong and important as the God, that the two balance

each other, and that both are needed for the world to be complete. Asherahs Scions come from a variety of backgrounds as she is currently adopting Scions from other pantheons. In modern times, Fauna can be found as a worker at a womens shelter, an OBGYN, a professor of womens studies, and a leader in women-owned businesses. Grigori Rasputin aka The Mad Monk, The Black Monk God of Health and Magic Pantheon: Russian / Parent: Baba Yaga Description: Born in a small village in Siberia, Rasputin was the child of the legendary Russian Hag, Baba Yaga. From birth he displayed an affinity for magic and healing. In time, tales of his mystic abilities even reached the Imperial Palace and the ears of the Empress. She summoned Rasputin to come to the aid of her youngest child, and heir to the throne, Alexi. It was not long before he was doing more then simply tending to the sick Prince, soon he was advising the Empress, and by extension, the Tsar himself. His meteoric rise to power earned him many enemies, both mundane and supernatural. During this time he survived an attempted assassination, a feat, which only further cemented his mythic status. Rasputins Legend only grew as on December 16, 1916 a group of men again attempted to assassinate the Royal Healer. He was poisoned, shot, stabbed, beaten and finally thrown in the river Neva to drown. Of course, such things would not of been enough to of ended the life of a Scion. After his apotheosis Rasputin did what he always did, he survived. Tepeyollotl

Tepeyollotl is the nagual of Tezcatlipoca, a jaguar with human aspects. As the Heart of the Mountain, Tepeyollotl was said to be the guardian of caves and dark places, and often sacrifices, both man and jaguar, were left in the caverns he ruled from. His pelt was the starry nighttime sky and his powerful roar was the cause of earthquakes. He represents Tezcatlipocas brute strength and the extent of his wrath. In the mortal world, Tepeyollotl has been a miner, a spelunker, a night janitor in underground military bases, a demolitions expert, a mountain climber, and a sound technician. He prefers, however, to appear in the World as a jaguar, stalking the dark both above and below the ground. Scions of Tepeyollotl all carry a feline look about them, as well as appearing larger than they seem. Their voices are loud and carry an echo when they get angry. His Scions prefer to work underground and prefer the nighttime to the daylight. Their bravery is unmatched and, unfortunately, so is their rage. Xolotl The Aztecs considered dogs to be filthy and immoral creatures, and assigned these characteristics to the hapless nagual of their most moral god. Xolotl is a god of lightning and fire, who helps the souls of the dead on their journey to Mictlan. As Quetzalcoatls faithful nagual, he represents the evening star where Quetzalcoatl is the morning star. He aided Quetzalcoatl in the quest to bring human bones from Mictlan at the dawn of the Fifth Sun, providing a distraction so that Quetzalcoatl could escape. Xolotl is an odd-looking god, most often seen as a dwarf hunchback with a dogs head, or, occasionally as a skeleton. Whatever form he takes carries some type of physical deformity, be it a limp or a palsy or mangled hands and feet. He is seen as a manservant or an electrician, but most commonly, he is seen as a beggar, someone who cannot catch a break, a schlimazel. Scions of Xolotl are born with physical deformities, ranging from the unnoticeable to the outright crippling, and the bad luck of their father always shines through. However, they also gain their fathers loyalty, and anyone who befriends these Scions knows they have a friend for life who would give an arm for their companions. Even their good arm.
