Build your own food Pyramid

The food pyramid indicates the guidelines of our diet and the importance of every single item of food that we put into our mouth at every meal and in between, on a day to day basis. It is important that we are aware of these food groups, so that we can make sure we get adequate nutrition, and that anyone that we are responsible for feeding, is also cared for in the healthiest and most nutritious way. Task Details Your Task is to build your own food pyramid, based on nutrients need for your body, and present it to the class. You will work in a group but every one of you will be assessed independently. Hints Make a plan with your group. Search needs nutrients needs for your body according to your age. Make a three lists with titles Eat mostly, Eat moderately and Eat least Get pictures of food items. Use whatever material you want to make pyramid.

Bring all needed material to lab on assessment day. You will build the pyramid in the lab. Task Duration Out Class component Three days for planning and research at home. In class component One single period for planning in class One double period for actually building pyramid in the lab One single period for presenting to the class
