Geneticmutationsarehereditaryandinmanycasesthecauseofdiseasesordisabilities.There arestillmanyquestionsthathaven'tbeenansweredthathavetodowithgenesandtheir complicationsbuttherearesomethatcanbeanswered.Geneticmutationshavebeenfoundto bethecauseofdisease,theycanbepasseddownfromparents,andgeneticallymodifiedfoods cancausesymptomstoo.

Geneticmutationsarethecauseofmanydiseasesincludingcancer,Tourette's,and schizophrenia(ScienceXNetwork).Schizophreniaoccursfromthecombinedeffectofmany geneswhichisaconditioncalledpolygenicity(Baldan,2014).Whenonegeneischangedor mutateditkeepsgoingtotonsofotheronestoobecausethegenesarethesameastheother ones,soonceonechanges,alotmorewillchangeandthatisthecauseofthesediseases (ScienceXNetwork).

Thesethingscanalsobepasseddownfromparentsandfamilymembers(Baldan,2014). Schizophreniaisadisorder,andisknowntobehighlyheritable.Aboutonepercentofadults haveit,andpeoplewithimmediaterelativeswhohaveitareabouttentimesmorelikelytogetit (ScienceXNetwork).Thepicturesinthefigureshowsthedifferentwaysthatgeneticmutations canstart.Eitherpassedfromtheparents,developedwithinthegrowingbaby,ordevelopedin thechildoradult(Figure1).

Geneticallymodifiedfoodscanalsobeacauseofdiseaseordisabilities.Thereisaviruscalled theCauliflowerMosaicVirusanditisusedinalotofgeneticallymodifiedfoodstogetmore proteinsoutofit.Theproblemis,thestrandsofDNAthattheyinsertedintoplantshasmore geneticmaterialthanitwassupposedto(Admin,2014).Thereare54typesofplantsthatuse thepromoter.Eatingtheseplantswillmakeitmucheasiertogetalotofvitalinfections.Someof whicharecolds,hepatitis,andevenAIDS.Thiscanalsocausesomegenestoswitchand changeovertimealongthegenome(Admin,2014).

Itisveryimportantforeveryonetounderstandthethingstheyareeatingandwhatishappening withintheirbody.Therearealotofbadthingsthatareassociatedwithgeneticmutations includingthattheyhavebeenfoundtobethecauseofdiseases,thearepasseddownfrom parents,andgeneticallymodifiedfoodscauselotsofcomplicationstoo.
