Global (Real Life) Learning Intention: Get the S NS!"#$ attitude Students will understand the messages about the dangers of sun exposure and the need for protection. Skin cancer, is the most common cancer in ew !ealand with about "## people dying from melanoma each year. Students will understand that sunburn, particularly from childhood and adolescence is a ma$or cause of melanoma in late life. %uch of this cancer can be prevented if children practice SunSmart behaviour whenever they are out in the sun.
