Some IHEs are developing 20 hour/1 credit courses and BEEES is developing some professional development. Question came up about EEX course prefix, response was district based but comment will be added to technical assistance information. Certification Task Force Subcommittee of bigger grant, will be scheduling a meeting after February. Looking at data collection and what other states are doing with ESE certification. Discussion about breaking up K-12 to possible K-5, 6 12, etc Rule change will be needed for certification piece then restructure the exams and initial teacher certification programs, possible 5 year process. Question about Pre-K endorsement Can it just be added to ESE cert or gen ed too? IHE Summer Institute Program based on IHE Needs Assessment, Plan for about 50 60 people, funding will be available for 1 or 2 faculty from public state colleges and universities with teacher ed programs. Looking at possible date of June 19 or 20 at St. Pete College, Save a Date will be sent out soon FTED Website/Blog Kim is working with Marcey Kenney on a Google or Weebly site, will have something up to share at next officers meeting
