3. Do a scenario analysis for the installation of windows lasting four days.

This initial estimate given by Craig was that the installation of windows would take three days. However if the time was extended to four days, the chart shows that the deadline would not change. This is due to the order of predecessors and that only activity dependent on the windows installation was the interior wood work which is not directly after the windows. Therefore, the duration of the windows installation could be extended to four days without overall major impact to the project.

4. What is the Crash Cost if Craig hires one more person at $80/day and brings the installation back to 3 days? Crashing is a method whereby the duration of an activity is shortened by adding resources and incurring extra cost. The crash cost on Craigs Project = per day.

5. How can you fast-track this project? How many days can be saved by fast tracking? There is no way to fast track this project because there are no time gaps between the tasks and its predecessors. In order, to fast track you would need to reconsider the predecessors that are assigned in the problem set. The below screen shot of the Gantt Chart shows that the schedule has no time gaps to fast track:
