Welcome The emcee needs to begin the program by welcoming everyone and asking everyone to please rise for the Presentation of Colors and National Anthem. Presentation of Colors As soon as the Colors are in posted and the !onor "#ard are at attention the National Anthem sho#ld begin. The $tar $pangled %anner &ollowing the National Anthem the emcee asks everyone to be seated and thanks the !onor "#ard and the band. The st#dents are then directed to stand and remain standing d#ring the reading of all their veteran1s names. Any veterans attending are also asked to stand when their name is read. ,ntrod#ction of $pecial "#ests and Presentation of .eterans The st#dent1s name is read along with the veteran1s name which branch of the Armed $ervices they served or are serving in *if known+ where they served are serving in *if known+ and what war if any they served in. The relationship to the st#dent is also acknowledged if known. &ollowing the reading of A'' the names of veterans the st#dents want to acknowledge then the participating teacher1s veteran names are read.
