I am writing this letter regarding my position as a delegate I want to obtain in the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space committee during the 11th Galmun Conference. To begin with, I would like to join COPOUS committee as I believe this experience will be both demanding and exciting. It will undoubtedly test my determination and it will improve my public speaking skills. I reckon that one of the reasons that the existence of aliens is emphatically denied by governments is that by acknowledging their existence, they would admit that they would be unable to protect the population from an invading force of superior beings, with vastly superior technology and weaponry. There are a lot of possibilities to be taken into consideration, so I am on the high ropes to debate them. Even though this committee promises to be a laborious and challenging task I am confident the outcome will prove to be tremendously rewarding. Furthermore, I have no doubt this committee is the suitable one for me hence Ive always believed in the existence of superior species and now I have the opportunity to make a research about this. I am confident that the experience I attained at the last Galmun conference as a delegate in the World Health Organization will prove efficient during the thrilling yet complex issues, which are to be discussed. Known as a proactive and involved person, I generally study and analyze the topics thoroughly beforehand so as to deal successfully with the unexpected matters that might appear.
