The Great 50 Pattern: Is it Like Enoch?
1

Tracking Exalted Numbers

The Scripture is a book filled with mathematical patterns that probably even the authors of the individual books themselves were not completely aware of. That is why the definition of a neviya (prophet) is one who speaks Elohims words, but not necessarily one who understands those words completely. This is especially true of the over-arching mathematics in the Scripture.
2

Tracking Exalted Numbers

Put simply, we should not expect that a book compiled by over 40 separate authors spanning about 10 countries and three millennia of elapsed time would have math codes that, in effect, point to a singular Designer. And yet, since I have been tracking Scripture math for more than 20 years, I can emphatically proclaim that is exactly what is going on here!
3

Tracking Exalted Numbers

The pattern I have found is 100% precise, predicable and accurate. It never waverseverbecause this is the math that comes from the Mind of our Creator. But I would need many Powerpoint presentations far more massive than this one to show all of it to you, so for this one I thought I would start small. Let me show you the intricacy regarding some uses for just ONE number: 50.
4

Tracking Exalted Numbers

50 is what I call an Exalted Number. That means 50 is tied to every single time cycle that Scripture tracks. In other words 50 days, 50 weeks, 50 months and 50 years are ALL significant calendar mechanisms tied to the Moedim and to prophecy. Before proceeding further, let me demonstrate this definition of Exalted Numbers with 7, 40 and 10.
5

Tracking Exalted Numbers

7 means perfection. There are 7 days in a week and 7th is Set-Apart as the Shabbat. We count 7 full weeks from the start of the omer count and proclaim Shavuot a day later. From the start of the year in Abib, the 7th New Moon or Month is Yom Teruah/Rosh Hashanna. The 7th full moon is also a High Shabbat, the start of 6 Sukkot.

Tracking Exalted Numbers

The land rests every 7th year. 7 years x 7 is completed and then we proclaim the next year as Jubilee. Many other multiples of 7 are significant: 70 years of captivity in Babylon, 70 weeks in Daniel 9 (490 years, 70 x 7), and so on. When these significant patterns repeat to this degree, it proves 7 is an Exalted Number. The same is true of 40, the 7 number for restoration

Tracking Exalted Numbers

40 days and nights-(1st part of the Flood; number of days Yshua the Messiah fasted before the Enemy tempted him). 40 weeks-This is the time it takes a woman to go from her last normal menstrual cycle to giving birth. 40 months (360 time)-This equals 1,200 days (40 months, 30 days each), 12 (tribes of Israel) x 100 [10 is the witness code x 10, which witnesses the first witness!]
8

Tracking Exalted Numbers

40 years-Interval for Israelites wandering in the wilderness (Numbers 14), for a punishment cycle for Judah (Ezekiel 4) and one length for a Biblical generation (also Numbers 14--the other length being 100 years-Genesis 15). Many other multiples of 40 are significant: 400 years counting from Isaac to the Exodus, 480 years from Exodus to Solomon beginning the Temple!
9

Tracking Exalted Numbers

As for 10, it is always about witnessing (plagues, commandments, spies giving bad reports, etc.) and we will see more on that later on. For now my point is: Once you start seeing these Exalted Numbers, you will never read Scripture the same way again. 50 is likewise also an Exalted Number, like 7, 40 and 10. It has a consistent theme and function throughout the Scripture.
10

Tracking Exalted Numbers

But 50 also has a unique aspect that the others do not have: 50 is the Exalted Number that contains calendar secrets! All the patterns thus far for the others (7 40 and 10) are easily deducible via simple math and are also publicly understood for the whole nation of Israel. But 50 has both public and secret uses and is also a number ideal for tracking astronomical cycles. Lets begin to see 11 why 50 is so amazing

Public Uses of 50
This is how to make it: the length of the ark is to be 300 cubits, its breadth 50 cubits, and its height 30 cubits (Genesis 6:15 NJB) Notice how these numbers relate to each other: The length of the ark is 6 times greater than its breadth (300, 50) and 10 times greater than its height (300,30). The breadth of the ark is its living space as all animals dwell within that space.
12

Public Uses of 50
This is the first hint we get going into one of the secret uses of 50: Its about the duration that life dwells on the earth or in a given location. Heres proof: Abraham stepped forward and said, 'Will you really destroy the upright with the guilty? Suppose there are 50 upright people in the city. Will you really destroy it? Will you not spare the place for their sake? (Genesis 18:23) 13

Public Uses of 50
Never mind that Abraham will whittle the number down to 10 (the witness code again), the point is he starts his negotiation at 50! So once again we see 50 linked to life dwelling on the earth! And thats far from all of it. Lets see what happens when the Israelites begin building the Tabernacle
14

Public Uses of 50
You will make 50 loops on the first sheet and 50 loops along the outer edge of the sheet of the second set, the loops corresponding to one another. You will also make 50 gold clasps, and join the sheets together with the clasps. In this way the Dwelling (mishkan/ ) will be a unified whole. (Exodus 26:5-6 NJB)
15

Public Uses of 50
You will make 50 bronze clasps and insert the clasps into the loops. (Exodus 26:11 NJB) Across the width of the court, on the west side, there must be 50 cubits of curtaining, with its 10 poles and their 10 sockets. The width of the court on the east side, facing the sunrise, must be 50 cubits. (Exodus 27:12-13 NJB)
16

Public Uses of 50
If a man consecrates one of the fields of his ancestral property to Yahweh, its value will be calculated in terms of its yield, at the rate of 50 silver shekels to one homer of barley. (Leviticus 27:16 NJB) Theres tons more, and all of them relate to dwelling in the landnot surprising since in Hebrew the word for tabernacle also means to dwell!
17

Public Uses of 50
And this is also further witnessed to by dwelling intervals in the Torah being significant for the Moedim: 50 days of the omer count to dwell before Shavuot; 50 years to dwell before Yovel/ Jubilee! But remember, I said at the outset, all calendar cycles have 50 embedded in them!
18

Public Uses of 50
So if all calendar cycles relate to 50 and we have seen that work for 50 days and 50 years What about the remaining two cycles: 50 weeks and 50 months? The answer is astonishing I think: These are the secret 50 uses, and they reveal how the Israelites calculated the Abib New Moon years in advance!
19

Public Uses of 50
But before getting into HOW they did it, we need to address WHY it was necessary to have a calculated back up. Consider Noah for a moment: Shut up in the ark and its kind of cloudy outside with the Flood for 40 days and 40 nights. The moon is totally obscure as is probably also the timing of sunrise and sunset, throwing off his ability to keep time accurately!
20

Public Uses of 50
And yet either Noah or his biographer Moses knew with absolute certainty that 150 days passed before the ark rested on Ararat between the 17th day of the 2nd month and 17th day of the 7th monthall with no sunrise, sunset or moon to help! That proves the need for a calculated back up when the sun and moon are not available! Oh and one other thing
21

Public Uses of 50
Moses may have phrased it after 150 days rather than day 151 in part because 150 is 50 times 3, the time the ark and its inhabitants dwell on the water! But an even more powerful example has to do with the year Yshua died, in 30 CE. In Wheel of Stars I proved conclusively that something was very odd back then
22

Public Uses of 50
The last New Moon before Yshua died could not be seen in the sky for 3 days because it was too close to the horizon! This has been proven with the use of the most cutting edge astronomy software on the planet. But, the Sanhedrin had to call the start of the month! They could not wait for the crescent with Pesach on the line!
23

Public Uses of 50
Add to this the fact that the Rabbinic calendar and its 19 year lunar cycle for intercalation was not even being used at this time! We know this because both systems were intended to replace the Sanhedrin whose job was to compile both sighted and math testimony. There would be no need to do this if it was a fixed closed system, so our method is a backup method for when sighting fails.24

Public Uses of 50
So the question remains: How could the Sanhedrin confirm a month when the crescent is not seen for 3 straight days? Again, the answer must be, they had a calculated back up plan. But what is really shocking is that the back up plan is based on counting intervals of 50 (weeks and months) according to the systems commanded in Torah!
25

Public Uses of 50
In other words, just like 50 days and 50 years are intervals used to regulate the calendar, so are the units of 50 weeks and 50 months. The difference again though is these other two methods were kept secret from the rest of Israel, but they are proven to exist by simply following the math in the Scripture! That is why our next topic is-26

Secret Uses of 50! Coming up next in Part 2

Secret Uses of 50!

29

Secret Uses of 50
The way the hidden system worked is also based on the requirement in Deuteronomy 19:15 that two witnesses establish every fact. And while the Talmud records multiple human witnesses coming forward to testify to the new moon, the question remains: Why couldnt two mathematical witnesses perform the same function?
30

Secret Uses of 50
But what is really compelling is that the method itself is in the Torahthey are counting this way already! And from the day on which you bring the sheaf of elevation offering -- the day after the Sabbath -- you shall count off seven weeks. They must be complete (tamim) you must count until the day after the 7th week 50 days; then you shall bring an offering of new grain. (Lev 23:15-16)
31

Secret Uses of 50
Embedded in this commandment are the words 50 times 7, complete weeks. But these words, in a slightly altered form, hint at another secret system and method. And however one counts the omer (from the 16th or Sunday) you are counting 50 full days from a fixed point in time. Now, to get to the hidden system, all the 32 Hebrews have to do is.

Secret Uses of 50
switch from counting 50 days and start counting 50 weeks instead from the start of their lunar year! When they do that, they begin a process for predicting the next Abib new moon a year in advance. Heres why The lunar month averages 29.530589 solar days, a very accurate measure over 12 months, to give us 354.37 days for the 33 lunar year.

Secret Uses of 50
But heres something else to bear in mindthis synodic cycle of 29.530589 days will work as an average between any phase in the lunar cycle. In other words, this average will hold true new moon to new moon as expected but also first quarter to first quarter, last quarter to last quarter and, most importantly: full moon to full moon!
34

Secret Uses of 50
At the same time 29.530589 days for the average lunar month has limited effectiveness in predicting the time for the next NM or phase you are measuring fromthats the bad news. The reason is, at the single month level, the period can be as low as 29.3 or as high as 29.8 daysthats 12 hours or 1/2 a day, and then we must deal with 35 sunset.

Secret Uses of 50
But the good news is this: Over a period of 12-13 lunar months, this average length lunar month of 29.530589 days becomes extremely accurate and useful. The 12 hour potential difference in any single lunar month, combined with the relationship of conjunction to its next sunset and variations between two adjacent monthsall these things even 36 out at the 12-13 month level.

Secret Uses of 50
On the other hand, any two consecutive months provide no clue to the date of the start of the next year! Only the average period does that, and only when applied to the full year (the next Abib)! Suffice to say then that understanding the lunar months true length as the ancients surely did means they can absolutely fix the timing of 12-13 lunations to an exact and certain date in their future. 37

Secret Uses of 50
But theres one more factor we need to consider before doing the math: We need to count from the full moon, not the new moon here! The reason is obvious: On the 50 day cycle, we count the omer from the week of Passover, which is the week of the FM. So we are simply adapting the existing instructions this way
38

Secret Uses of 50
First, count 50 weeks from the FM of Pesach. We know the 12th full moon to full moon cycle will FINISH in week 51. To see this, relate back to the omer count. Count in weeks, to the 50th week. Since the lunar year is 354.37 days long the 50th full (tamim) week will be 350 days. (And remember you are starting from a FM not a "day of week" (Sun-Sat) 39 counting.)

Secret Uses of 50
This lunar year measures out as 354 days, 8 hours, 52 minutes and 48 seconds, so we are just into about 9 full hours on day 355 when the lunar year ends again counting 12 completed full moon to full moon cycles. The question then becomes if we need to count a 13th FM to FM cycle or not (to maintain sync with the sun). I will return to 40 that later

Secret Uses of 50
For simplicity, lets say the previous lunar year (1st full moon) began on a Sunday. We begin our 50 week count the same way we count the omer: COMPLETE CYCLES or tamim. That means if we start a week on a Sunday, we must end it on a Saturday, and the same holds true Monday-Sunday, Wednesday-Tuesday, etc.
41

Secret Uses of 50
Our omer count on steroids completed, week 51 begins on Sunday, the 351st day from where our count began. And from this we know to a certainty, the 12th full moon to full moon cycle will end 5 days into that 51st week, on day 355 (Sunday = 351, Monday = 352, Tuesday = 353, Wednesday = 354, Thursday = 355).
42

Secret Uses of 50
And finally on this point we should remember: The total is 50 weeks and 5 days. That is 350 (total days in 50 weeks) to 5 (days to next full moon at year's end), a ratio of 70 to 1. 70 is the product of 7 (perfection) x 10 (witnessing) so this is a perfect witness to YHWHs truth in His Torah! Lets see this idea more clearly
43

Secret Uses of 50
10 plagues, 10 commandments at Sinai and 10 events trying YHWHs patience in the wilderness were all witnessed in one form or another, by Him, by Moshe or by Pharaoh! The pattern could not be more consistent than it is! It is also a 10 to 1 ratio between the number of weeks (50) and the number of days (5), and 10 was set up to be a 44 witness from the very beginning

Secret Uses of 50
This is because there are 10 generations from Adam to Noah, witnessing the period from the Creation to the Flood. Then there are 10 more generations from Noahs son Shem to Abraham, witnessing the period after the Flood to YHWH setting up the Hebrew people 1,948 years after Adams creationand in 1948 Israel became a state!
45

Secret Uses of 50
And theres this line in Torah that explains why directly Yahweh said, 'I forgive them as you ask. But -- as I live, and as the glory of Yahweh fills the whole world- of all these people who have seen my glory and the signs that I worked in Egypt and in the desert, who have put me to the test 10 times already and not obeyed my voice, not one shall
46

Secret Uses of 50
see the country which I promised to give their ancestors. Not one of those who have treated me contemptuously will see it. (Numbers14:20-23 NJB) So 10 times Abba YHWH has witnessed their apostasy, and on that 10th time/witness, Hes had enough. The punishment: Not one of these evil men will witness the land that He promised!
47

Secret Uses of 50
Also Genesis 31:7,41after Laban changed Jacobs wages 10 times, Jacob felt he had sufficient witnesses to hit the road. Also 10 spies brought a false witness (Numbers 14)! These patterns keep occurring over and over again, I am just scratching the surfaceand barely at thatin listing these occurrences. But this brings us to 48 another important number: 5!

Secret Uses of 50
The most important use of 5 is also the most obvious: There are 5 Torah books, the most sacred of the whole Tanakh to pious Jews. Therefore, 5 is the number for instruction. 10, as we have just seen, is the number for witnesses, so 5 x 10, or 50, is the about witnesses to YHWHs Instruction, in addition to dwelling on earth.
49

Secret Uses of 50
Where this is leading us then are the witnesses of 50 that relate to Torah instructions on 50, and that brings us to the omer count and the Jubilee count. In both cases the method is exactly the same. Group seven sevens and then add 1, and then do X. So for Shavuot/Pentecost, group 7 weeks, add 1 day, and then harvest comes.
50

Secret Uses of 50
Then, for Jubilee, group 7 years x 7, and add 1 more year. When that 50th year is done, guess what you do? Return to harvesting! For the 50 weeks pattern the same exact thing applies. Complete 50 weeks, then after 50, harvest the end of the 12th full moon to full moon cycle while beginning to sow for the next Pesach!
51

Secret Uses of 50
But first, we need to inspect our harvestsort of like checking the barley even though we know it ripens the same time every year. In order to do that, we need to count from a fixed point in solar time, namely, the time of the Vernal Equinox. In other words, when we reach the end of the 12th FM-FM cycle, we need to ask
52

Is it Like Enoch? Ill tell you why in Part 3!

Is it Like Enoch? How he tells us how to calculate the year

55

Is it Like Enoch?
In all Enoch lived 365 years. Enoch walked with Elohim and then he was no more, because Elohim took him. (Genesis 5:24Matara) Enoch is the only Biblical figure who lived 365 years, a year for every day of the tropical year. This fact is not lost on many ancient Jewish commentators, such as this observation from Philo
56

Is it Like Enoch?
Why the man who lives a life of repentance is said to have lived 365 years? In the first place, the year contains 365 days; therefore, by the symbol of the solar orbit, the sacred historian here indicates the life of the repentant man. In the second place, as the sun is the cause of day and night, performing his revolutions by day above the hemisphere of the earth, and his
57

Is it Like Enoch?
course by night under the earth, so also the life of the man of repentance consists of alternations of light and darkness; of darkness, that is, of times of agitation and circumstances of injury; and of light, when the light of virtue and its radiant brilliancy arises. In the third place, he has assigned to him a complete number, as the sun is ordained to be the chief of the stars of
58

Is it Like Enoch?
heaven under an appointed number, in the time which came before the period of his repentance, to lead to the oblivion of the sins previously committed; since, as God is good, he bestows the greatest favors most abundantly, and, at the same time, he erases the former offenses of those who devote themselves to him, and which might deserve chastisement, by a recollection of
59

Is it Like Enoch?
their virtues. (Philo, Questions and Answers on Genesis, 1:84) But the fact is also, whether one agrees with Philo or not, the Scripture tells us much about the significance of the solar year. Genesis 8:22 specifically references all the parts of the tropical year: seedtime and harvest, summer and winter.
60

Is it Like Enoch?
We would call these events equinoxes and solstices today. Later on in the Torah turns of the year are mentioned for ONLY the spring and fall; another reference to equinoxes is by two separate Hebrew words (tekuwfa, teshuvah). Psalm 19 describes the perfect solar circuit, meaning the tropical year. Job 38 tells us the constellations bring in spring.
61

Is it Like Enoch?
But there is one fact that often gets overlooked: Enoch and other Biblical figures dont simply all die on their birthdays! Instead, the Scripture typically counts in whole, completed years, unless it says otherwise. For example, Moses is 80 years old when he speaks to Pharaoh before the plagues begin (Exodus 7:7).
62

Is it Like Enoch?
And of course, my point is that the solar year is also between 365 and 366 days, 365.242374 days to be exact, every year, all the time. (The year is about 20 sec longer now than 2,500 years ago.) Modern calendars necessarily add leap days for this 365/366 day problem, but the point is that the timing from VE to VE never changes. It is a fixed point in time. 63 So heres how it works

Is it Like Enoch?
Getting back to our 50 week system, we are now tracking the start of 13th FM. 50 weeks from the 1st FM brings us to 350 days. 12 complete months = 355 days = start of month 13. Sometime in the 51st week, we need to check our harvest and ask the question, Is it like Enoch? If it isnt like Enoch, we add a FM-FM cycle. If it is, we dont. I will explain further as we go through this. 64

Is it Like Enoch?
Our first step: When last years VE happened, we had to make note of what that Hebrew day was so we can count from that date later. Lets say its Abib 10. Then when last years Pesach happened, we had to begin counting our 50 weeks from there. (These are separate but parallel counts for predicting our moons.) In week 51, we compare 65 dates.

Is it Like Enoch?
At the end of the 12th FM, we look at the total days from last VE and ask: Is it like Enoch? Has the year been "fulfilled"? If the year is not fulfilled, it means we need a 13th month. Example: Say VE was Abib 10 (March 20th). Count days this way: VE to Pesach FM (from Abib 10-15 = 5) plus 12 complete FM cycles (355) = 360, which fewer than 365 and not like 66 Enoch. A 13th month is required!

Is it Like Enoch?
So if the count from VE day/Abib 10 to the start of the 13th FM cycle after last years Pesach is fewer than 365 days, then it is NOT like Enoch. You must add a leap month. But if this same period of time is greater than 365 days, then it IS like Enoch. Go to week 51 (next week) and call that next full moon Pesach, because it is!
67

Is it Like Enoch?
Either way, you are harvesting after 50. If its NOT like Enoch, you harvest on the next FM and that FM is the Pesach FM. The additional month MAKES it like Enoch, that is, over 365, and that 13th FM is also after 50. Then we also ask: Is it 1 or 5?
68

Is it Like Enoch?
What I mean is this: You have completed 50 weeks/350 days. The question is though: Does the count end week 51 (1 more) or week 55 (5 more)? If the count is LIKE Enoch, its week 51. If NOT like Enoch--then its deficient and you need a leap month, or 384 days total.
69

Is it Like Enoch?
54 weeks, or 54 x 7, equals 378 days, so day 384 must come in week 55. The 5 weeks difference between the end of our week count (50) and the end of the leap year count (55), goes back to the number 5 being the number of instructionagain, 5 books of the Torah. So when the Torah says to add, it must be 5 weeks from the end of 70 the 50!

Is it Like Enoch?
Whether a leap month is needed or not, you end up with a very accurate mathematical prediction for the next Pesach FM done a year in advance. You can also accurately predict next years Abib New Moon: Just subtract 14 days from your calculated Pesach date! (FM comes on the 15th day of the month, 15-14 = day 1).
71

Is it Like Enoch?
So this is the calculated back up system that I explained the need for earlier. This is what you do when you cannot sight the moon for up to 3 days, like the year in which Yshua died. This is how Moses himself made sure his count for the Flood was 100% accurate, down to the very day. But perhaps the greatest thing of all is
72

Is it Like Enoch?
then, between Pesachs, months can alternate 30 and 29 day intervals to accommodate the 29.53 day lunar month average. Verify that the 12th month's 15th day, matches the day the 12th month's Full Moon Pesach prediction. During the year, visual witnesses can be used to determine needed changes of New Moon days.

73

Is it Like Enoch?
The key is count 12-13 lunar months, Pesach to Pesach, because that will maximize your accuracy. However the same rules apply new moon to new moon, and Israel did that too, along with the FM to FM count. The Is it like Enoch? test then helped Israel predict both Abib 1 and the time of Pesach, the only difference being the start and end count are 2 weeks later from NM.74

Is it Like Enoch?
So just as we asked Is the 12th FM from Pesach 365 days or more from the start of spring last year? now we ask if the Abib NM is 351 days since spring (36514=351). That works perfectly in 50 math because its the same as asking if you completed 50 weeks from the start of that last years spring. 50 x 7 = 350, so if you completed 350 days you start #351 and 75

Is it Like Enoch?
The corollary to this rule would then be if that same new moon was fewer than 351 days after the start of last years spring, then we need to add a leap month. Even if the new moon hit on day 350, it still would not complete that last 50th week and a leap month would be needed. This math could also easily be tracked 76 through the priestly cycle

Is it Like Enoch?
In 1 Chronicles 24, David divided the priests into 24 courses, each to serve Shabbat to Shabbat, changing Friday afternoon. The 24 courses floated throughout the year, 1 to 24 and back to 1 again. As a result, most courses served twice a solar year and some served three times that same year.
.77

Is it Like Enoch?
This is because 2 service cycles equals 48 weeks or 336 days, which is 4 weeks and a day or so shy of the 365.2422 day solar year. Depending on how the courses Friday service cycles coincide with the solar year the first 4-5 courses which began that year might serve a third time, but the remaining 19-20 courses would only .78 serve twice.

Is it Like Enoch?
All that would be needed then would be to record which course of priests was on duty the week 15 Abib (1st day of Feast of Unleavened Bread) hit. If thats course 1 for example, then what we need to see if course 3 ha returned for its service cycle. This is because if course 1 serves week 1, it returns to service again in week 25 and .79 again in week 49.

Is it Like Enoch?
From there, course 2 would serve in week 50 and course 3 then comes in week 51. In terms then of reducing this concept to a formula it would look something like this: If week 1 priestly course = X, then week 51s course = X + 2. So in this example a week 1/course 1 start means a course 3 in week 51. If it were a start with course 2 then it would end with .80 course 4, a course 3 start ends with 5, etc.

Is it Like Enoch?
But whether this system is totally 100% clear on first glance to you, the bottom line is after centuries of precise calculations being required as part of Torah observance, it would become second nature to the leaders in ancient Israel! And this is because the Hebrews are NOT the most primitive people in the Middle East after all! But heres an important 81 follow up question to ask

Why Not Plain Math?

By why not plain math what I mean is this We have seen that counting days based on the 29.53 day average for the lunar month is actually more accurate in 12-13 month chunks than it is month to month. We have also seen that by alternating 30 and 29 day months, any 12-13 month span will have a very accurate ending date for predicting the 13th new or full moon. 82

Why Not Plain Math?

Also, the 355 day lunar year reveals exactly what day of the week to expect the 13th new moon, because it will be 50 weeks and 5 days after the lunar year started. So if Abib 1 (new years day) started on a Sunday, they know the 13th conjunction (dark moon) will be on a Thursday. Same for starting on Thursday 83 and ending on Monday, and so on.

Why Not Plain Math?

This is because in a year that starts on a Sunday (for example), day 350 will be on a Saturday (50 x 7 = 350). Then Sunday will be day 351, Monday 352, Tuesday 353, Wednesday 354 and the conjunction must come on Thursday, day 355. In other words, the day of the next years conjunction of the 12th month will always fall 4 week-days after 84 the previous new years day.

Why Not Plain Math?

So why not just do that math and be done with it? Why not plain math alone? The answer is because math alone is a totally secular process divorced from the spiritual walk of ancient Israel. But the method described for the 50 week/Is it like Enoch? intercalation is totally based on following the Torah of Yah! He made Torah and the heavens!

90

The Tabernacle Pattern

Math and observation though werent the only tools ancient Israel had to track the cycles of the sun and the moon. Much of their calendar was also encoded in the design of the Tabernacle and in many Set-Apart objects within it such as the menorah and the Ark of the Covenant. But the lunar month itself was memorialized in the Tabernacles 91 curtains

The Tabernacle Pattern

Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twisted linen and blue and purple and scarlet material; you shall make them with cherubim, the work of a skillful workman. The length of each curtain shall be 28 cubits, and the width of each curtain 4 cubits; all the curtains shall have the same measurements. (Exodus 26:1-2 NAU)
92

The Tabernacle Pattern

Each cubit of this inner curtain represents a day in a lunar month. The Hebrews had long been fascinated with what I call the 28 day visible lunar cycle because, as Philo points out, it consists of 4 phases at 7 days each. This cycle though is clearly not the whole monthjust the timing from first crescent to last crescent, as Philo also explains 93 here

The Tabernacle Pattern

The number 7 when compounded of numbers beginning with the unit, makes 28, a perfect number, and one equalized in its parts. And the number so produced, is calculated to reproduce the revolutions of the moon, bringing her back to the point from which she first began to increase in a manner perceptible by the external senses, and to which she returns by
94

The Tabernacle Pattern

waning. For she increases from her first crescent-shaped figure, to that of a half circle in 7 days; and in 7 more, she becomes a full orb; and then again she turns back, retracing the same path, like a runner of the double stadium race, receding from an orb full of light, to a half circle again in 7 days, and lastly, in an equal number she diminishes from a half circle to the form of a crescent; and thus95

The Tabernacle Pattern

the number before mentioned is completed. (Philo, On Creation, 1:101) So that inner curtain again, is mirroring the 28 day visible parts of the lunar month. But as Philo will also explain, on each side of those 28 days are dark periods at the beginning and at the end of each month, and yet he still counts it to 30 days, as he says here
96

The Tabernacle Pattern

And the expression "from," has a double sense. One, that by which the starting point from which it begins is included; the other that by which it is excluded. For when we say that from morning to evening there are twelve hours, or from the new moon to the end of the month there are 30 days, we are including in our enumeration both the first hour and the day of the new moon. And when any one says that such 97

The Tabernacle Pattern

and such a field is three or four furlongs distant from the city, he clearly means to leave the city itself out of that measurement, (Philo, On Dreams, 2:257) Here Philo is comparing the lunar month to the distance between a field and the outer edge of a cityleaving out the breadth of the city in the measurement. This is the measure from darkness to crescent.
98

The Tabernacle Pattern

Then the breadth of the city is clearly the 28 day visible portion of the lunar month, from crescent to crescent. When we cross the entire city, we then recycle back to the field, and that distance from the outer edge of the city to said field (or one of identical distance) is the period of darkness at the end of the month. And Philo names that period as 30 days, but this detail also matters:99

The Tabernacle Pattern

You shall make loops of blue on the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set, and likewise you shall make them on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in the second setThen you shall make curtains of goats' hair for a tent over the tabernacle; you shall make 11 curtains in all. The length of each curtain shall be 30 cubits, and the width of each curtain 4 cubits; the 11 curtains shall have the same measurements. You 100

The Tabernacle Pattern

shall join five curtains by themselves and the other six curtains by themselves, and you shall double over the sixth curtain at the front of the tent. (Exodus 26:4-9 NAU) This is what Philo meant. We see the outer curtain length is 30 cubits length by 4 cubits wide. Remember a cubit equals a day, and here we have an outer 30 cycle surrounding an inner 28 cyclethe 101 perfect metaphor for the lunar month!

The Tabernacle Pattern

But also notice another key detail: The 11th curtain of the outer set is folded over the front part of the Tabernacle. Since the curtain set up has been representative of the lunar cycle, the folded over curtain in essence is a code meaning, the moon will fold over/reset itself. The question is, what resets the moon? And of course, Torah has the answer as well

102

The Tabernacle Pattern

For the rear of the tabernacle, to the west, you shall make six boards. (Exodus 26:22 NAU) If the rear of the Tabernacle is to the west, then the front of the Tabernacle can only be facing east, towards the rising sun! So when the rising sun hits that folded over curtain, it reminds Israel: Reset the moon by the cycles of the sun!
103

The Tabernacle Pattern

Evidence of the astronomical precision of the Hebrews though has been an intense area of study for scholars for centuries now. The great 19th century astronomer J. Norman Lockyer wrote the following about the Temple architecture that was very likely also contained in the earlier Tabernacle, zeroing in on this same fact 104 regarding facing the rising sun

The Tabernacle Pattern

We learn from the works of Josephus that as early as Solomons time the Temple at Jerusalem was oriented to the east with care; in other words the Temple of Jerusalem was parallel to the temple of Isis at the pyramids. It was open to the east and absolutely closed to the west. In plan, as we shall see, that it was very like an Egyptian temple, the light from the sun at equinox

being free to come along an open passage, and to get at last into the Holy of Holies. We find that the direction of the axis of the Temple shows the existence of a cult connected with the possibility of seeing the sun rise at either the spring or the autumn equinox.-J. Norman Lockyer, The Dawn of Astronomy, p. 92. Not a shock---Moses was a Prince of 106 Egypt!but heres a key witness

The Tabernacle Pattern

Lets see what St. Stephen has to say

107

The Tabernacle Pattern

In that same time Moshe was born. And he was pleasing to Elohim and he was reared three months in his father's house. And when he was cast out from his mother the daughter of Pharaoh reared him as a son for herself. Moshe was trained in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was prepared in his words and also in his deeds. (Acts 7:20-22-AENT)
108

The Tabernacle Pattern

This statement by Mar Tzephania (St. Stephen) is not directly stated in the Torah, and yet we as believers call this Scripture, and we should! Luke, the author of Acts, even goes so far as to say that Stephen was a man full of faith and the Ruach haKodesh (Acts 6:5) and full of grace and power, performing great signs and miracles (Acts 6:7)!
109

The Tabernacle Pattern

Then, when Stephen begins to speak, Luke says he had the face of a divine Messenger (Acts 6:15)! And yet, Stephen wasnt the first Jewish scholar (yes, his name, Tzephania, is a Hebrew name) to talk about Moses great learning in Egypt. About 40 years earlier, the historian Philo also told us about Moses genius
110

The Tabernacle Pattern

Accordingly [Moses] speedily learnt arithmetic, and geometry, and the whole science of rhythm and harmony and meter, and the whole of musicand by lectures on the different arts...And all the other branches of the encyclical education he learnt from Greeks; and the philosophers from the adjacent countries taught him Assyrian literature and the

knowledge of the heavenly bodies so much studied by the Chaldeans. (Philo, The Life of Moses,1:23) Josephus adds this little snippet He was, therefore, educated with great care. So the Hebrews depended on him, and were of good hopes great things would be done by him; but the Egyptians were suspicious of what would follow after such an education. 112 (Antiquities, 2:236-237)

The Tabernacle Pattern

So St. Stephen, Josephus and Philo are all in agreement that Moses upbringing in Egypt involved extensive training in astronomy, mathematics and scienceall Moses would need to receive the Divine Pattern of the Tabernacle and implement it as Chief Architect. And in Stephens case we know the Ruach spoke this truth to him directly, so none of this should be surprising! 113

The 50 Month Omer Count!

116

The 50 Month Omer Count

But now its time to change course. Its at this point that we switch to the 50 Hebrew month method! Everything we have seen so far, 50 days, 50 weeks and 50 years, is directly related to and comprises a complete system for, accurately predicting in advance all important Hebrew occasions. Whats left then for the 50 months to do?
117

The 50 Month Omer Count

With the official system complete, one of the 50 months systems jobs is to witness to what the other parts of the system are supposed to do. Its really very simple: Every time you count 50 Hebrew months, you will wind up in the 5th solar and Hebrew year from where you started. Notice also that we have a 10 to 1 ratio again
118

The 50 Month Omer Count

That is to say, every 50 Hebrew months brings you to the 5th Hebrew/solar year. This brings us to the key message: Recall that the number 5 is the number for Torah/instruction And 10 is the number for witnessing. So when we witness (10) to the Torah (5) we get 50the number for living on the earth, proving the Torah right after all!
119

The 50 Month Omer Count

But there are some other extremely interesting Torah-math concordances that happen when we count 50 month intervals either from new moon to new moon, or full moon to full moon. Since we just saw the grace of the 50 week omer count which started from Pesach FM, lets do the same thing, except multiply by months, which 120 means by New Moons!

The 50 Month Omer Count

This method works according to secret procedures discussed by the Jewish historians Philo and Josephus. These first century Jewish historians are each descended from Hebrew priests and kings that Scripture tells us kept the calendar secrets. Josephus himself was an eyewitness to the Temples destruction and two quotes 121 from these men are especially critical:

The 50 Month Omer Count

In the month of Nisanthe beginning of our year, on the 14th day of the lunar month, when the sun is in Aries, (for in this month it was that we were delivered from bondage under the Egyptians,) the law ordained that we should every year slay that sacrifice which I before told you we slew when we came out of Egypt, and which was called the Passover. (Josephus, Antiquities, 3:248)
122

The 50 Month Omer Count

At first glance, the 14th day of the lunar month of Nisan, when the sun is in Aries seems a very precise astronomical convergence of star, sun and moon data. But Josephus is relating his astronomy as it existed at the time of the Exodus some 1,500 years before his time and 3,400+ years from our time, not how the stars are positioned today!
123

The 50 Month Omer Count

In 128 BCE, the Greek astronomer Hipparchus discovered what we now call precession of the equinoxes. Hipparchus figured out that every 72 years, a so-called fixed stars position in the sky will shift a degree backwards from where it started. So, after 2,160 years (72 x 30), that star has precessed 30 degrees.
124

The 50 Month Omer Count

That is why Aries the Ram is no longer the first constellation of spring because the fixed stars precessed so that the previous sign from the previous monthPiscesis now the first constellation of spring. But the key time marker has nothing to do with constellations. It has to do with the Vernal Equinox, which remains a fixed 125 moment each year.

The 50 Month Omer Count

In Moses time, the beginning of the sign of Aries and the beginning of the Vernal Equinox were one and the same timing. That is why the historian Philo decided to not use the short hand in Aries when explaining the same secrets that Josephus just did about 50 years later. Instead, he uses terms that prove the Exodus sky was frozen in Hebrew memory
126

The 50 Month Omer Count

Moses puts down the beginning of the vernal equinox as the 1st month of the yearfor it is through the bounty of nature that the seeds which are sown to produce the necessary food of mankind are brought to perfection. (Philo, On Moses, 2:222) This phrase beginning of the vernal equinox is a huge and critical clue for piecing the system together.
127

The 50 Month Omer Count

Philo recognizes the importance of dating the start of the Hebrew Solar Year at the beginning of spring, because this will give a fixed point in time completely independent of the stars precessing backwards over time. It will never go out of date! Therefore beginning of vernal equinox is understood as being the same as the when the sun begins to be in Aries.
128

The 50 Month Omer Count

Then, going back to Josephus, we see the importance of the 14th day of that lunar month, which is the time of the full moon. Putting it all together it means this: The New Moon nearest VE is Abib and the first full moon of Aries is Passover! And all these historical statements come together in one very simple series of 129 instructions

The 50 Month Omer Count

1) Start year 1 from NM before VE. 2) Count to the start of the 50th NM which will be 5 years later, alternating 30 and 29 day lunar month lengths each time. 3) That 50th NM will always be the timing of Abib, predicted 5 years in advance! 4) Consequently, the FM that comes right after that NM will be Pesach, predicted 5 years in advance!
130

The 50 Month Omer Count

5) Then, to reset the count when you get to that 50th NM or FM, simply go back to your NM before VE and make it month 0. The process starts all over again! So to recap this is what we have seen so far The 50 day omer count and the 50 year Jubilee count have the exact same rules and process.
131

The 50 Month Omer Count

The 50 week omer count, just swapping out 50 days for 50 weeks, will allow you to predict the Abib NM and FM with perfect accuracy a year in advance. The 50 month omer count, starting from the NM before VE, will allow you to do the exact same thing, but from 5 years in advance! Do we really think this is all just coincidence, or is He sending a message?
132

The 50 Month Omer Count

The evidence, I believe, is rapidly stacking up and the pattern is undeniable: Every iteration of 50 is perfect for calculating the calendar for harvest and lunar cycles! But I have one more piece of evidence to discuss and it does not come from the mathit comes from an archaeological find in Israel that has long puzzled 133 scholars and its called

The Gezer Calendar

134

The Gezer Calendar

The picture you just saw was a large scale replica done for clarity of reading. The original however, though smaller and harder to read, is dated to the 10th century BCE and contains some of the oldest calendar information ever recovered from ancient Israel! It was found in the ancient Canaanite city of Gezer (20 miles west of Jerusalem) and 135 is inscribed in Paleo-Hebrew script.

The Gezer Calendar

Dating from the time of David and Solomon, it reckons civil time from fall to fall (Tishri-Elul) as we know the southern kingdom of Judah would do, starting under Davids grandson, Rehoboam. It is also signed by a man named Abijah who might be simply its scribe or could refer to King Abijah, the son of Rehoboam himself (2 Chronicles 12:16). Heres what this this key piece of evidence said... 136

The Gezer Calendar

Two months gathering (September, October). Two months planting (November, December). Two months late sowing (January, February). One month cutting flax (March). One month reaping barley (April).
137

The Gezer Calendar

One month reaping and measuring grain (May). Two months pruning (June, July). One month summer fruit (August). Obviously the Paleo-Hebrew isnt naming our Gregorian monthsthey were put in () by the scholars translating it. Nevertheless the Gregorian is accurate because
138

The Gezer Calendar

it is based on a solar year, and my point is, so was the ancient Hebrew calendar when all its mechanisms are properly understood. The proof is actually in the calendar language itself. We have talked before about how the word chodesh can refer to either solar or lunar cycles. But the word here for month (yareach) literally only 139 means moon!

The Gezer Calendar

The reason the use of yareach is so important is because the calendar has linked a fixed order of lunar months to coincide with exact occurrences over the course of the solar year. Harvest cycles though were counted FM to FM (Pesach, Sukkot), so once the proper count from spring is set in place, 7 months from the 1st fall FM will always 140 bring you to the barley harvest FM!

The Gezer Calendar

But in order to make sure your fixed number of lunar months from the start of fall delivered you through all stages of the agricultural year on time, there had to be intercalation between the solar and the lunar years. There is simply no other way it could work! But the best time to do this intercalation for maximum accuracy was between the end 141 of winter and the start of spring.

The Gezer Calendar

And this fits in perfectly with the Set-Apart counting systems we have been exploring. Just count your 50 weeks or your 50 months and you know from a year or years back where and when that key spring NM or FM will be. That math will also tell you with absolute precision when the seasons listed on the Gezer Calendar have to happen!
142

The Gezer Calendar

The bottom line is this: Once again we see that it is 100% certain that following the omer count for 50 NMs works as well as every other 50 mechanism that was known to exist and that was important for Israel to keep time! This was every much the breakthrough innovation as anything done by the Babylonians, Persians, or even the 143 Mayans, because He made it work!

Conclusion
The fact is, any ancient culture can pick any interval of days to track a harvest, declare a feast, and so on. And any number of valid mathematical patterns may also manifest in said cultures calendar math. But this situation is utterly unique, because there is no way the Hebrews on their own could have encoded the Torah in 144 this manner.

Conclusion
This is because, its not just about one number working on all systemsthat would be remarkable enough. Instead, its about one number working on all systems through precise Torah instructions and synching properly to a given moral theme for that number each time it appears across 66 Biblical books! Abba YHWH has put His watermark
145

Conclusion
a watermark in the heavens and on the earth (Psalm 19, Job 38). a watermark on the cycles of stars, sun, moon, math and the Word. a watermark specifically on the number 50, the number of living on the earth, and the number of witnessing (10) multiplied by the number of Torah (5), and all of it ties together in poetry, song and truth
146

Conclusion
Today, I call heaven and earth to witness (10) against you: I am offering you life or death, blessing or curse. Choose life, then, so that you and your descendants may live, in the love of Yahweh your God, obeying his voice (x 5), holding fast to him; for in this your life consists, and on this depends the length of time that you stay in the country (= 50). 147 (Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NJB)

Conclusion

For ever, Yahweh, Your word is planted firm in heaven. Your constancy endures from age to age; You established the earth and it stands firm. Through Your judgments all stands firm to this day, for all creation is Your servant. (Psalm 119:89-91 NJB)
