Overall Reflection In my placement, I have learned a lot about myself as a Spanish teacher.

For one, I learned that teaching Spanish involves a lot of planning and thinking to motivate student learning. During this experience, I learned the importance of creating fun and engaging activities involving vocabulary ords that students have learned. One thing that I did to help students retain the vocabulary ords is I tried to find authentic Spanish songs, stories or events.. For this reason, I decided to include in my folder documents dealing ith Spanish songs and a Spanish story. In addition, I learned that students en!oy learning their vocabulary ords by hen I sho examples in stories, music, and vocabulary games. So, this teaching experience sho ed me the importance of finding ays to help students retain vocabulary ords. "lso, it sho me that creating those type of activities help students increase their speaking skills because they kno ho to apply those vocabulary ords in their Spanish conversations. In addition, I learned the importance of creating conversation activities because I noticed that students ant to learn to speak it and not !ust rite it. During my teaching experience, I created activities dealing ith Spanish conversations because I anted them to practice it as much as possible since they do not practice speaking it outside of class. I decided to include conversation activities because it sho ed me that I ant to help students build proper Spanish conversations. Furthermore, I have included Spanish culture in my folio because I believe teaching the language#s culture is important. One thing I learned about teaching culture is that students might find some customs or cultures in $atin "merica eird.. For this reason, I took my cooperative teacher advice on asking students to compare and contrast their culture to the $atin "merican countries. Overall, I gained a lot from this teaching experience and this experience has made me gro and build into a better teacher. %y cooperative teacher gave me several suggestions that help me gain better teaching skills. For example, she gave me suggestions to ho to check student comprehension hen I am reading a Spanish story aloud to the class. &very time she gave me advice I tried to apply it into my teaching lessons because I kno I as receiving advice from an expert.
