Presentation

Students are asked to pass their cartoons forward but they are not collected. Bobby then asks for a student to volunteer what the cartoon projected on the screen represents. Bobby uses the cartoon to begin a discussion on the spread of Communism. He then shows three pictures of people spilling red gatorade. He asks students to explain how this can represent containment. Students answer in chorale. Questioning is good but fast. It is recommended to give students more think time and then to call on individual students to share their thoughts. The class then heads to the library for the next part of the days lesson. Students complete a stations activity on the Cold War. 9:26:25 AM Engagement During the station activity, students are participating and on task. They have 7 minutes at each station and 3-5 questions to answer about each country. Class expectations are posted at the back of the classroom. School procedures are posted near the door.
