AROMATHERAPY GIVING EFFECT TO DECREASE ANXIETY IN

CAESAREA PATIENTS PRE OP HOSPITAL IN THE
DELIVERY ROOM RSAD BHAKTI WIRA

Basically every mothers who will perform labor would

normally arise sense of fear or anxiety will be a long
labor, fear of having to surgery, and so on. Caesarea
birth mothers tend to have high levels of anxiety higher.
Therefore, efforts should be expected to reduce anxiety.
This study aims to determine the influence of an
aromatherapy gift to the reduction of anxiety in patients
with pre op Caesarea in the delivery room RSAD Wira
Bhakti Mataram. This research is an experimental
research design One Group Pre-test - Posttest Desgin.
Population was all patients pre op Caesarea in the
delivery room RSAD Wira Bhakti Mataram. Sample as many as
25 people were determined by using purposive quota
sampling technique. Engineering data using techniques
interview with koesioner guidelines. Analysis of the test
used paired t-test with α = 0.05.
Based on the analysis results obtained t value
calculated (4.768)> t table (2.064) which means there is
the influence of an aromatherapy gift to the reduction of
anxiety levels in patients with pre op Caesarea in the
delivery room RSAD Wira Bhakti Mataram.
Scores of anxiety before given aromatherapy average
17.96 and 8.24 after being given aromatherapy which shows
that the effects of aromatherapy gift lowering anxiety
levels. Therefore needs to be given treatment that can
reduce anxiety levels in patients who would perform the
operation.
