equations in point – slope form and sketch its graph.

Review • Warm-up activity: point plotting
• Review and discuss the answer in the warm-up
activity.

2. Statement • transform linear equation in the point – slope form

• graph linear equation given a point and the slope
3. Teacher • Review in class: 10 min

• Teach in class:
1. Point-Slope Form y1 – y = m (x1 – x)
2. Transforming point-slope form to standard form
3. Graphing linear equation using the slope and a
given point.

4. Guided • Provide illustrative examples and discuss the 15 min

Practice solutions on the board.
• Let the students watch the videos about graphs
and answer the self-test questions.

5. • The students will be provided an extra problems / 20 min

Independent worksheet on graphing linear equations using the
Practice point-slope form.

6. Closure • Writing Activity: Ask the students to differentiate

graphing linear equation using the point-slope
form from slope-intercept form.
