Objectives At the end of the lesson the students will be able to solve two-step
equations, multi-step equations and equation with variables on both
sides.

• Teach in class:

4. Guided • Provide illustrative examples and discuss the 15 min

Practice solutions on the board.
• Let the students go to the board and work out
some problems.

5. • The students will be provided an extra problems / 20 min

Independent worksheet on solving equations.
Practice • Quiz – solving equations with variables on both
sides.

6. Closure • Writing Activity: describe an additive inverse and a 5 min

multiplicative inverse.
