JPS Maths Assessment and Target Tracking


Teacher Guidance: The system is base on teacher assessment using evidence in each childs maths book. The system is formative, as it can be used to identify gaps in learning; but it is also summative as it can be used to give a best fit level each Half Term. The targets are broken into 4 strands The sheet that each child is working on is put into the front of a childs maths book. Class teachers update the sheets regularly using evidence from the childs maths book, observations made and discussions. Evidence must be seen on 3 occasions before it can be considered secure. Half Termly levels are inputted into Target Tracker.
