After rising in morning and retiring in the evening: Whoever says this when he rises in the
morning will be protected from jinns until he retires in the evening, and whoever says it when
retiring in the evening will be protected from them until he rises in the morning. It was reported by
Al-Hakim 1 / 562, Al-Albani graded it as authentic in Sahihut-Targhib wat-Tarhib 1/273, and traces
it to An-Nasa'i and At-Tabarani. He says that At-Tabarani's chain of transmission is reliable (Jayyid).
Before Going to Bed: It is related that Abu Hurayra said, The Messenger of God (Allah bless him
and give him peace) put me in charge of guarding the alms (zakat) of Ramadan. Someone came to
me and began to take handfuls of food. I grabbed him and said, By Allah, I will take you to the
Messenger of God! and he mentioned the narration He said, When you go to bed, recite the
Throne verse (ayat al-kursi), and you will have someone guarding over you from Allah and Satan
will not come near you until morning. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
He told you the truth even though he is a liar. That was Satan. [Bukhari]
After every fard salah: Rasool Allah peace be upon him said, "Whoever recites Aayatul Kursi after
every Fard (Fard Salat). Only death is keeping him/her from entering Jannah. (As soon as he/she
dies, will enter Jannah)(Nisa'i, Ibne Habban, Ibnelsani A'n Abi Amatah Albahili Radiallah Anhu)

1. Umm al-Mu'minin Juwayriyya bint al-Harith reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless
him and grant him peace, left her one morning to pray Subh while she was in her place
of prayer. Then he returned after the sun was well risen and she was still sitting there.
He said, "You are still in the state you were when I left you?" She said, "Yes." The
Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I recited four words three
times. If they were to be weighed against everything you have recited today they would
outweigh it: 'Glory be to Allah and by His praise in number as great as His creation and
His own pleasure, the weight of His Throne and the ink of His words.' [Muslim]
2. In one of the variants of Muslim, "Glory be to Allah in number as great as His creation.
Glory be to Allah according to His own pleasure. Glory be to Allah by the weight of His
Throne. Glory be to Allah according to the ink of His words."

We have entered a new day 1 and with it all dominion is Allah's. Praise is to
Allah. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no
partner. To Allah belongs the dominion, and to Him is the praise and He is
Able to do all things. My Lord, I ask You for the goodness of this day and
of the days that come after it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this
day and of the days that come after it. 2 My Lord, I seek refuge in You from

Rasullah stopped and listend to the bedioun man who said the above dua.
Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed someone to bring the
Bedouin to him as soon as he completed his Salah. Rasulullah (peace and
blessings be upon him) had been given some gold from a certain mine and
when the Bedouin came before him after he had completed his Salah,
Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) handed over the gold to him
saying, "Which tribe do you belong to, dear Bedouin?" When the Bedouin
informed Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he belonged to the
Banu Aamir bin Sa'sa'ah tribe, Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him)
asked, "Do you know why I gave you this gold as a gift?" "Because of the family
ties between us, O Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him)," the Bedouin
surmised. Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "While family ties
have a right, I actually gave you the gold because of the beautiful manner in
which you praise Allah."
This Hadtih has been reported by Tabraani who has narrated it from reliable
sources as confirmed by Haythami (Vol. 10 pg. 158).
