Teacher Observed Assessment Spacing

Directions: -This assessment will be given in order to determine the students ability to utilize the skill during a game play scenario. It is reflective of a desired skill that the student should be able to utilize during a soccer game, in order to achieve success on the field. -The students will be filmed using a video camera while performing the skill during game play, and also observed by the instructor during the class period. The instructor will be looking for the students to use proper spacing correctly. A tally mark should be placed under the Proper or Improper category for every observable opportunity performed by the student. -Proper spacing is observed when the student is within their positions dictated zone on the field. -Improper spacing is observed when the student is out of their positions dictated zone on the field. The exception to this would be if the student is rotating with another student during ball possession or retrieving a ball in a teammates zone while the teammate is out of position. -The instructor will add up the total number of proper and improper opportunities and divide it by the total number of opportunities. The results of each category will be placed in the Total Score column as a percentage. -The percentages will determine the students score for this assessment by using the key below: 80-100% = 5 points 60-80% = 4 points 40-60% = 3 points 20-40% = 2 points 0-20% = 1 point
