By watching this video, it refreshened me that even back then there was pollution. And that is why we have so much acts from back then. Miners had to pass a law so they can be safe. There were some information that I knew, like the pH level are 10X difference. It gave e an idea when the water is bad because of how it looks like. If it is yellow orange then there is iron, and it is not safe. Mining has two big main is that if the mines were abonded and not treated the waste there will seep through the ground and find its way to the water table. Also people get sick from mining the coal because coal has a lot of bad chemical. And breathing in a fine compartment has much density is taking a lot of bad particulates.
