Work Issues

Hello to everyone! My name is Alex Boaca and I am a student from Romania. I am studying at Mihai Viteazul Highschools in the city named Sfantu Gheorghe meaning Saint George. I am 17 years old (11th grade). My favorite school subject is biology and I would love to participate in this project focused on solving world issues. The first issue I would like to talk about is the fact that people have to work too hard these days and youngsters cant get a job very easily. This problem occurred because technology has evolved immensely in the last decades. Machines and robots are performing the most productive activities so peoples role in producing different things decreased. Some may say that this problem might be solved by building factories but I dont really agree with this. If you go to any shop you can see that shelves are packed with of all kinds of things, so I dont think that we need more. Others are angry because of these new machines and are saying the se machines are taking all our workplaces, when I was young there werent any , I agree with them mostly, but not totally because there is a way these machines could help the working population. The purpose of these machines was to help people by making their lives easier but these are used for helping rich people maximizing their profit and taking the place of humans. But these machines could be used for what they were made for by cutting off the hours of work. People are working a lot: they work eight hours and when they get home they have to deal with house chores, help children with homework and many others. So if humans worked six hours in exchange of eight for every three workers another worker could work, this means that 33. (3) percent of the number of present jobs could be available. But this thing is not done because companies would have to pay those people and so they would lose profit. Another thing would be that many people have multiple jobs, or multiple jobs included in one like the cleaning staff of my boarding school work also as: porters, gardeners and maids and get the same poor salary. This should be prohibited; companies shouldnt be exploiting people by this method. It seems that we are being overused; employers have not understood that they should use money and care about their employees and not only care about money and use humans as if they were mere tools. If they accepted to change things like this, such methods could be implemented; but it depends on them.
