Mind Tricks Proposal

Our Semester Long Project is on mind tricks. This project explains and demonstrates the different parts of the mind being manipulated. First we will introduce the different parts of the brain and how they function. Then we will present a short video that shows how your mind can only focus on one thing, it is being "tricked". After that we will show a series of tricks you can play on your own senses. Lastly, we will do the psychological breakdown on why this occurs.

We are going to use a video from Brain Games to demonstrate the mind tricks that are played on the human brain. We will use Microsoft PowerPoint to present our research and pictures. All of our research will be found online or in books from the library. We will combine our findings from our Short Projects into our Semester Long Projects then we will translate this information into our PowerPoint presentation.

This plan is most effective because the video from the show Brain Games are mind done by professionals. If we tried these tricks ourselves they wouldn't work because we have only studied this for one project but professionals do it because it is their job. A PowerPoint is also more effective visually because we are going to incorporate a lot of images in our presentation. Our topic is mostly a visual. Alex and Jordan will talk about our topics we researched on during our Short Inquiry Project. The other half of the research we will both research. Jordan will do the slides on the parts of the brain and on tricks. Alex will do his slides

on nature vs nurture. Alex will

of the talking and Jordan will talk the other

First we will finish researching our topics for the short inquiry project which is due 3/18. Then we will do the fun part of the project, the research on brain tricks. This will be done within

a few days later. Next we will create a PowerPoint presentation combining our research, this will f be done within a weeks' time. Lastly, we will present our fmdings during fmals week.

The audience should be quite entertained about the subject matter. We will slowly ease our audience into the entertaining parts of the presentation so that they stay focused on the presentation. Our goal is to create an informative presentation that teaches about the functions of the brain and the tricks that can be played on the brain.

By using interactive activity's we will get the audience engaged in the presentation. We will use short activities to keep the audience interested in the presentation. This will increase our confidence throughout the presentation allowing us to present a well-informed presentation. The main purpose of our project is to inform the audience of the various tricks that our played on the human brain. We want the audience to understand that the human brain is a complex machine that can easily be confused by simple tricks. We want them to understand that it is the most powerful computer on the planet that can't be replaced by simple computers.

The intended audience for this project is our classmates. We want them to understand the function of the brain and the various tricks that can be played on the brain. We will use examples to show these tricks and explain why they work. Some of the secondary audience's will be anyone else interested in the function of the brain and the tricks that can be played on the human brain. Everyone in our audience has a brain. We want them to understand the importance of the human brain and why it is such a complex machine. We want the audienc~ to be informed by the various tricks that can be played on it and why they work.
