Final Evaluation

This form is to be filled out by the Practicum Supervisor and administered to the practicum student during Week 14 (or close to the end of the semester). Both supervisor and student should sign the form and an original copy must be sent to the Practicum Coordinator by the end of the last week of classes so a final grade can be posted for EAD 747 (Practicum class). The student has completed the objectives defined for the practicum experience to the following degree: (please rate using the following scale, comments are optional) 1 = Unsatisfactory 2 = Good 3 = Very Good 4 = Excellent __3__ Learning Objective 1: Gain a deeper understanding of service-learning and how it is implemented at Missouri State University._____________________ Comments: Through the drafting of the handbooks I was able to learn a lot about the services offered by Service Learning. However, I could have gained a deeper understanding if my position had moved beyond the design of handbooks. __2__ Learning Objective 2: I will design and draft the Student Handbook for Service Learning, as well as, the Community Partner Handbook.________________________ Comments: I finished the student handbook to the best of my ability with the information that I had. There are a few bits of information still needed to complete it. The community partner handbook needed more updating in terms of information than I was able to do. I think I did pretty good with what I had, but there was some room for improvement. __4__ Learning Objective 3: I will learn how to effectively use Microsoft Publisher in the design of documents for departmental use.______________________________________________________ Comments: My work on the documents allowed me to try a lot of different things with Publisher to learn how it works. I feel that I have an excellent grasp of how to use the program at this point.

__4__ Learning Objective 4: I will improve my competency in the ACPA/NASPA competency areas that relate to my practicum. ____________________________________ Comments: The main competencies that I found related to my project were personal foundations and human and organizational resources. In those areas I believe I learned a lot, especially foundations. I learned to be a lot more self-motivated than in the past with working on a project outside of normal work hours.
