Channel-type induction melting furnace

The channel-type induction melting furnace with its high electrothermal efficiency has been an established part of the foundry industry for many years. Due to its furnace geometry and cost effectiveness, it is the preferred choice for the melting of scrap or bulky material. INDUGA has continuously developed this furnace type further. The result are high-performance, durable, environment-friendly and inexpensive melting furnaces.

INDUGA designs and supplies Channel-type induction furnaces for melting, holding and casting Coreless induction furnaces Furnaces for piece and strip galvanizing Gravity die casting machines Low-pressure casting machines Plasma systems Besides flexibility, our approach is typified by individual concepts and processspecific solutions that take account of both quality and efficiency aspects.

The channel-type induction melting furnace

The channel-type induction melting furnace consists of a ceramic-lined furnace vessel to hold the melt. One or two channeltype inductors are flanged to this furnace vessel for heating. The channel-type induction melting furnace can be hydraulically tilted, but is normally not completely emptied; it is generally operated with a heel. Outstanding features of this furnace type are: High electrothermal efficiency Cost-effective melting Flexible furnace geometry Clean melting under a controllable atmosphere Low oxidising losses Long service life Thanks to our many years of experience in the design and construction of furnaces, INDUGA channel-type furnaces are extremely reliable and require minimum maintenance.
