Strokes can be devastating.


Paralysis.

Strokes can hit in four different parts of the brain.


The right hemisphere

The left hemisphere

The Cerebellum

The brain stem

Each with equally crippling effects.

But you can avoid it!


Watch for high blood pressure Keep cholesterol levels low DONT smoke Control alcohol intake And exercise!

The road to recovery isnt an easy one


But places like the Austin Speech Labs And St. Davids Rehabilitation Center

Dedicate themselves to helping stroke survivors

Become their selves again.

They help to regain their speech

To relearn how to read

And write

And interact.

Help those on the path to recovery


By volunteering at the Austin Speech Labs, or by interacting with the rehab patients at St. Davids.
Or donating to places dedicated to stroke awareness like The National Stroke Association, or the Austin Speech Labs.

Help spread awareness to the world
