A carrier is someone who does not have any symptoms of the condition and never will but, you do pass the infected gene onto their children. We were able to figure this out with the information that was given to us about your parents (generation II. Person number 3, generation II. Person number 4) and you brother (generation III. Person number 3).

Paige: On the pedigree you are generation III. person number 1. We know you have PKU with this information were able to figure out that your parents are both carriers since it is the only possible way you would have PKY without them having it as well.
