Dear Parent/Guardian, It is my pleasure to introduce myself as your childs student teacher for Social Studies this semester.

My name is Erin McGinnis and I will gradually e ta!ing o"er Ms. Masters #S $istory class to finish my wor! towards ecoming certified teacher. I am always learning so I am e%cited to egin this last transition and learn from your child and the e%periences I ha"e teaching. I am from a su ur of &hicago called 'inley Par! and I went to (ictor ). *ndrew $igh School. I was always one of those students who en+oyed eing in school so I elie"e teaching is where I elong. I participated in technical crew and the drama clu for eight different musicals. I played (arsity golf for four years and made it to the I$S* state competition my senior year as the first girl golfer to ma!e it to state in my high schools history. I graduated in ,-.- in the top ten percent of my graduating class. &urrently I am a senior at the #ni"ersity of Illinois at #r ana &hampaign. I ha"e een wor!ing on this dream since I was in high school myself when I decided to ecome a teacher. I ha"e a ma+or in $istory, minor in Secondary Education, and another minor in English. My e%tensi"e preparation for this tas! has allowed me to grow as oth a student and teacher.
