The article by Daniel Gonzales and Bob Ortega discusses the immigrations issues in the US and reforms to improve the immigration system. According to Azcentra website, illegal immigrants who migrate from Central America to the United States increases every year. The increasing number of Central American immigrants has a significant influence on American population, while the number of Mexican immigrants decreased. This is mainly due to the fact that the Mexican government has more jobs for people in their country, as well as educational opportunities. Meanwhile, the situation in Central America is different, thus illegal immigrants from Central America come to the US to get jobs. However, this case affects the jobs systems in the US because those illegal immigrants got this chance, which allows them to remain in the country. Also, the reporter insists that illegal immigrants made a huge damage in the US economy. Therefore, the US government is working to fix this problem in efforts to help these illegal immigrants and give them green cards and allow them to remain in the country as lawful and productive citizens. Immigrants keep coming to the US because they can find jobs. Those that they cannot find jobs end up going back to their home country. Most immigrants that are causing this increase are coming from Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala. Although, the statistics show that immigrant numbers are less as a whole, when it comes to Central American immigrants, that number is increasing continuously. The article also discusses

the government efforts to stop illegal immigration. The border patrol has increased especially for those areas where immigrants are coming from Central America. A bill was passed to allow illegal immigrants obtain green cards and become lawful citizens in specific cases, but the Republicans stopped the bill in hopes to create smaller bills and solve the problem a different way.
