Anne Frank: The Whole Story The film you are going to watch is quite long so just the second half is going to be shown. It is based off the book, the Diary of Anne rank. The first !art of this film is about the e"!eriences of Anne rank de!icted her diary. The second half, which you are going to see, is based off official, eyewitness accounts, etc. #ince we are starting the movie in the middle I wanted to !rovide you with some background information about the characters and !lot. Background Plot 0hen the +ews began moving to the ghettos and disa!!earing from their homes, $tto rank arranged for his family to disa!!ear. &e arranged for them to hide in the anne" !ortion of the building that housed his own business, only known by four em!loyees. &e left evidence at the rank residence that they had fled the country to #wit(erland so no one would look for them. They were eventually joined by four other individuals and for two years they all were concealed in the anne". Anne1s diary describes what life was like in the anne" and what is was like to grow u! in fear of being discovered. The first !art of the movie shows the events that lead to the need to go into hiding and the various things that ha!!ened to the eight !eo!le who resided in secret for a !eriod of two years.
