Tyndall is developing micro-LED (µLED) devices as next-

generation light sources for miniature lighting applications.

Under an EI-funded project we are offering customer-specific
prototypes to best suit the needs of Irish companies. The
miniature light sources are ultra-efficient and designed to
provide high brightness illumination in miniature situations.

(Tyndall) Device

Features:
• Maximum brightness across miniature objects
• Minimal power consumption
• Small physical dimensions: suitable for integration
• Minimal cross-talk in LED arrays (through superior light containment)
• Wide colour range

Potential Applications:
• Micro-fluidics
• Handheld analytical devices
• Micro-sensors
• Fibre-coupled light sources
• Addressable arrays
• Head-Up displays
