Process Flow for Induction of new employees Each manager/Mentor will be responsible for devising a local workplace induction

programme for their specific work area to ensure that all new starters experience a planned, positive induction to the organisation. Each Manager/Mentor will be responsible for ensuring all new employees attend the corporate induction. PRE-EMPLOYMENT Recruitment Services and Human Resources (HR) to comply with recruitment and employment practices. Recruitment services notify manager that pre employment checks completed. Manager liaises with employee and agrees mutual start date. FIRST DAY OF EMPLOYMENT Manager / Mentor and new employee to meet and begin the local induction process. Ensure employee has date for Corporate Induction. WITHIN FIRST WEEK Local induction core programme to be completed unless manager /mentor agrees with new employee a realistic and achievable time frame for completion. Introduction Fire Safety Health & Safety Employment Information General Information Structure & Organisation WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH Local workplace induction to be completed. Manager/ Mentor to return a signed copy of the checklist to the HR Dept. Copy to be filed in employees personal folder. Development Review process commenced. WITHIN THE FIRST THREE MONTHS Manager to review contract of employment with employee. Sets objectives in line with Knowledge and Skills framework. AT THE END OF THE FIRST YEAR Manager and employee to carry out Development Review meeting.
