Executive Summary I am Alyssa Paro the owner of Blooming Butterflies Preschool and this is my business plan. Throughout this business plan you will find what Blooming Butterflies Preschool has to offer for you and your child. We offer the best education for your child and will help your child succeed with a positive outcome. I encourage families to be involved with their childs education in and out of the classroom by sending monthly calendars and schedules home in the childrens folder. Blooming Butterflies Preschool is committed to providing the educational opportunities, and experiences that children will love and enjoy. At Blooming Butterflies Preschool all children learn and grow.

Part 1: Introduction A. Introductory Statement Blooming Butterflies Preschool is a program that offers a place where your child can grow and learn in a positive environment. We are passionate in providing a warm, safe learning environment that your child will succeed in different subjects. Blooming Butterflies Preschool offers great opportunities for children. Children have the opportunity to interact with peer within their age group. In our program your child will be encouraged to learn and grow. We provide developmentally appropriate experiences where every child can succeed while in a safe and caring environment. Our program believes in guiding children through planned and prepared activities based on childrens interests, which will enhance their skills in all areas of development. Blooming Butterflies Preschool is committed to providing the educational opportunities, and experience that children love and enjoy.

B. Mission Blooming Butterflies Preschools purpose is to provide an environment that fosters the childs social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. We create lessons and activities that are appropriate and based on each individual childs abilities. Family involvement is encourage in and out of the classroom.

C. Services: Target population: 18 children Full Day Program Ages Served: 3-5 years Operational Hours: Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm Opened: September-June Vacation Periods/Holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day through New Years Day, Martin Luther King, Good Friday, Memorial Day and Independence Day. Special Enrollment requirements:

-Children much be toilet trained and be able to meet their own toilet needs. -Copy of childs birth certificate submitted with application -Health form must be completed and dated by childs doctor and filed prior to the first day of enrollment. -Emergency card contact information much be completed and filed by the first day of enrollment.

Part 2: Industry Analysis/Need

A. Needs Assessment I will implement a needs assessment by giving out a survey to see if my program is needed in my community. Those that are looking to provide their children with early education will be interested in my program. After giving out a survey I will give out fliers personally to see who is really serious about being part of my program, depending on how interested they are I will offer to set up appointments to meet individually with prospected parents. During our meetings I will give out a brochure and talk about what my program has to offer and why it is the best choice for their child. Survey- $50 Flyers- $70 Appointments Brochures- $118

B. Child Care Trends Butterflies Preschool will have teachers and staff that who have obtained a higher education and can to provide the quality education of young children. The staff in my program have prior experience and education to have a positive interaction with the children providing a trusting relationship environment. I open my classroom from 6am to 6pm for those parents that work full time. My target population is eighteen children, this provides the children to develope social interacting relationship with children around their own age group. I provide lessons that meet each childs need for education that is required to be successful in the later years.

Research has proven that children who are in a high quality child care program setting are likely to be more successful in the later years of education (NAEYC,2005). Blooming Butterflies Preschool offers a high quality education that helps promote better social emotional, math, and language skills that will be needed in later education years. My program also offers a safe and caring environment building a positive trusting relationship with the children and family. Quality indicators measure the conditions that generally foster a safe, Nurturing and stimulation environment for children ( Child Care, 2006), Blooming Butterflies follows and associates this factor because Blooming Butterflies provides this type of warm, and nurturing learning environment for children.

Part 3: Organization A. Licensing and Programming Blooming Butterflies Preschool believes quality child care begins with knowledgeable, hands on approaches, and experienced early childhood educators. Alyssa Paro serves as the Director of Blooming Butterflies Preschool. Alyssa graduated with an Associates degree in Early Childhood from SUNY Canton in 2014 and has two years experiences in Early Childhood Education. Blooming Butterflies Preschool staff are required is to have at minimum, an Associates Degree in Early Childhood and two years experience in a child care setting. All teachers must be certified in First Aid, CPR and MAT. All teachers must complete 15 hours or more of professional development and training each year. Training includes mandatory attendance at the SUNY Canton Early childhood fall conference and participation in the National Association for the Education of Young Children Annual Conference (naeyc.org)

Blooming Butterflies Preschool is licensed by the NYS Office for Children and Family Services. In 2017, Blooming Butterflies Preschool will begin the self-study process with a goal of receiving NAEYC Accreditation status in 2019. Blooming Butterflies Preschool believes in being a positive role model and providing an encouraging yet helpful environment in and outside of the classroom including hands on activities that allow children to explore and discover in developmentally appropriate ways. Our environment prepares young children for their future academics and ensures they are ready for the next level in their education. We utilize the Early Learning Frameworks as established by Head Start as well as the NYS Core Competencies for Early Childhood Educators. Part 4: Marketing A. Marketing Plan To successfully market Blooming Butterflies Preschool, I will put an advertisement in North Country Now newspaper. This will allow for free publicity and reach the local community. I will also hand out business cards to the public, with basic information such as phone number, name of program and my name as the owner and director. Handing brochures out to the local community will give the target population information of what my program is all about and what it has to offer. I will also make posters that are eye catching to customers with my logo, program name, hours that include pick up and drop off times, and also the phone number. These will be distributed at local grocery stores, convenience stores, and family friendly areas. To advertise my program, to the community I will factor a cost of no more than two hundred dollars. This will pay for the cost of paper and color/black ink. The above marketing strategies will be rely on and advertisement in the local community. I think that it is also important to spread by word of mouth, information about the program telling, and why parents should take interest in it, and that it will be a positive benefit to them and their children to be enrolled in Blooming Butterflies Preschool. My program is affordable for all families.

B. Originality Blooming Butterflies Preschool differs from other centers because the teachers and I are dedicated to providing each child with the education they need to proceed to the next level of education in their life. We are willing to provide the level that meets each childs ability, believing that there should be no child left behind. Our teachers are certified, well educated, and have excellent experiences. All are successful educators. We create lessons and activities that are appropriate and meet each individual childs abilities. My program will provide the needs for every childs education. Guiding children through planned and prepared activities based on childrens interests, which will enhance their skills in all areas of development. We also teach and assist with developing self-respect and compassion for others. Blooming Butterflies Preschool promotes an understanding and respect for all individuals

by offering experiences and lessons related to multicultural and an anti-bias curriculum. I am also patient and respect each child and their family and religious backgrounds and beliefs. Blooming Butterflies Preschool accepts every child and their family with open hands and promise a successful, positive and safe educational environment.
