Land use pattern Kim basin is dominated by irrigation in the western part, where as western part is mainly unirrgated

region. Coastal areas is mainly consists of fallow land. There are patches in scrub/degraded forests on eastern part of the basin. Mangrol and Kosmba are the main town in the basin.

Land use pattern (by Bhuvan), in the kim basin indicated urbanization (indicated by red) at Mangrol, Kosamba and along National Highway 8 in last five years. There is also increase in intensity of agriculture in lower part of the basin in 2011-12. Increase in water availibity also indicated by Zaid (summer) crop in 2011-12, where as the region shows kharif crop in 2004-05.
