This article is confirmed, by UNCC, to have been peer-reviewed. This is a qualitative research study done to follow up on long term cancer survivors. This article asks a group of cancer survivors and their spouses about lasting life changes experienced through cancer. It tells of both negative and positive long lasting changes. This will be great for my study of aftereffects of cancer. It is credible based upon the confirmation of it being peer reviewed as well as being in the well-respected journal of Psycho-Oncology.

Greenstein, M., & Breitbart, W. (2000). Cancer and the experience of meaning: A group psychotherapy for people with cancer. American Journal of Psychotherapy, 54(4), 486. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11109133

This article was confirmed by UNCCs library to be peer-reviewed. Its research goes into helping patients find meaning. Its credible because of the academic journal it was published in. They acknowledge that many cancer patients end up with a lot of debt and problems physically and existentially. Its set up as an intervention, which does make it a little weaker compared to

my other articles of pure research. I still believe it will be useful in showing viewpoints of patients after illness.

Non Peer-Reviewed Sources

Bush, K. (March 3, 2013). Interview

I will conduct an interview towards how cancer has impacted the views and beliefs on different aspects of this persons life. It will be used in a video project to help communicate the point and support any prior research already done. This person has been diagnosed with cancer by a doctor which makes her a credible source.

Cristy, B. (March 4, 2013). Interview.

I chose this interviewee to add another male as well as a different type of cancer. He, at this moment in time, is the oldest interviewee. I wanted the panel of interviewees to be as varied as possible. He has prostate cancer and has went through surgery. He is credible because he was diagnosed by a doctor.

Helmer, L. (March 4, 2013). Interview.
