HSSE Library A. The library that complements my major, Political Science, the most is the Humanities, Social Sciences and Education Library or HSSE for short. This library is located in the Stewart Center room 150. The Stewart Center is on the east side of the Memorial Mall. For those that are still not sure about the Stewart Center, it is the building that hosts many movies that students are able to go and see if they bring their student ID. The HSSE library houses many printed resources (like books, periodicals, microfilm, and microfiche), but the library also has the ability to give students the opportunity to research resources online thanks to its many workstations that have Wi-Fi available for students electronic devices. If a student does not have an electronic device with them there are University computers stationed throughout the library, whether they are stationed in the main room of the library or in study rooms that are available. There are four floors to this library that houses valuable information for students to use for papers or other important course assignments. If a student is having trouble locating books or other materials that he/she would need, they can always ask the librarians that work at this library.

Minnick 2 II. Databases and/or Journals a. OECD iLibrary i. Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) library houses numerous government official programs statistics and essays. This databases advanced search option allows me to select a specific language for the content that I am looking for, the date that the material was created/relevant, what type of text it is (books, papers, statistics, etc.), it allows me to use Boolean fields or to make my own, and this database allows me to narrow my search by what country and what theme my search should be tied to. b. CQ Congress Collection i. This database allows me to search for statistics regarding members of congress. This includes: how often the members voted together and separately, interest group ratings of members of congress, etc. This database allows me to search for members of congress by their names, state, and by the members characteristics. The advanced search option of this database allows me to narrow my search down by the bill number, the event date (month, day, year), what number of Congress it was (100th Congress, etc.), what chamber of congress my search would be relevant to, and this database allows me to narrow my search by what type of document I am looking for (glossary, biography, floor vote, statistics, etc.). c. Ox Research

GPO Federal Digital System i. The GPO (U.S. Government Printing Office) Federal Digital System allows me to search for any document that has been published by the U.S. Government.
