Deployment of Windows 8 Phone Application on Phone

Steps to Deploy your Application


You must be a registered developer. The phone must be registered at dev.windowsphone.com. The phone must be connected to the host computer with the USB cable, turned on, and the screen must be unlocked. To test apps on a Windows Phone 8 device:
The Windows Phone IP over USB Transport service must be running. This service is installed and started when you install the Windows Phone SDK 8.0. The computer must recognize the connected device. A Windows Phone 8 phone is listed as a drive in File Explorer.

How to register your phone for development


Turn on the phone and unlock the phone screen. Make sure that the date /time are correct on phone. Connect your phone to your computer by using the USB cable that came with your phone. On your computers Start screen, switch to All apps view.

Under Windows Phone SDK 8.0, click Windows Phone Developer Registration. as shown in the following image.

Verify that the Status message displays Identified Windows Phone 8 device. Click the Register button to unlock the phone. Sign IN Here

After your phone is successfully registered, the Status message displays Congratulations! You have successfully unlocked your Windows Phone.

Precautions
If your phone is already registered, the Status message indicates this and you see an Unregister button. Click Register. In the Sign In dialog box for your Microsoft account (formerly known as a Windows Live ID), enter the email address and password for your Microsoft account. Click Sign In. If youre a registered developer, be sure to use the Microsoft account associated with your developer account.

Impediments
Windows Phone IP Over USB Transport(IpOverUsbSvc) service is not running

Set service status on start using way in pic.

VM emulator was not working VM was unable to recognise win8 phone.

Solution: VM configuration- USB Controller-USB 2.0 enable.
