Brief Diary Entry

I went to the library to find different book sources to help me get ideas on how to write up a proper report and also to help me gain more background information on the investigation I am conducting. I found out that mould prefers to grow best in moist and warm conditions. Going according to the method written in my investigation proposal, I set up my experiment three times (with one lemon coated bread, one dry bread and one soggy water bread) to ensure the reliability of my results, as the weather would have been a controlled variable if I did it like this. When I began to receive results, I completely forgot to measure the mould growth with a ruler and therefore decided to start the experiment all over again. This time round, instead of including bread with lemon coating, I only included a dry bread and soggy bread in my experiment. This was because I didnt know what the lemon had to do in relation to the growth of mould which would have made it much more difficult in terms of collecting and analyzing my results. I went to collect results again in the morning hoping there would be some sign of mould to measure. To my surprise there still wasnt any growth. There are still no signs of mould growth on any of the three trials set up. I think this may be due to the fact that the zip on the bag is closed. I might open it tomorrow.

I opened the bags yesterday and today I noticed small spores on my bread! Water breads trial 1 & 3 have mould but 2 doesnt yet. On water bread trial 1, the mould multiplied three times more than it was yesterday. It went from 12mm to 20mm! getting some results finally. Water bread trial one if giving me great results! It has multiplied from 45mm to 100mm. This is the second last day I am testing my experiment. My results havent changed since day 10. There is no more growth on the bread. FINAL DAY OF THE EXPERIMENT! I need to now graph my results and incorporate it into my website. I made my graphs and finished my timeline today. Now all I have to do is my discussion and conclusion!
