Reflection This lesson went really well. The students had some previous knowledge of George Washington so they were familiar with him. After emailing a few days prior, my cooperating teacher told me the night before I taught that most of the students had trouble writing sentences. I had to be flexible so I told the kids that I wanted them to try their very best to write a sentence. I modeled how to write one and also reviewed how to begin and end a sentence. Most of the kids actually made an attempt so I was proud of them. Most of them finished the activity while I was trying to help some of the students finish writing a sentence. If I could go back and do it again, I would have those who already finished read a browsing book or write a letter to George Washington. All in all I felt like it went smoothly and I felt accomplished.
