because it reveals a side to the Australian culture that not many people know about. In this article the author states that there is an Australian-Chinese chef who cooks and eats edible insects as a healthy and available source of protein. The chef Kylie Kwong owns a restaurant named Billy Kwong in Sydney, Australia. In the article Chef Kwong, says, Insects are delicious, sustainable to [produce, super high in nutrition, an excellent alternative to protein and, for me, a very deep part of my traditional Chinese heritage. I cannot relate at all to this article because I have never tastes an insect or been to Australia, however the article did grab my attention and I was intrigued to learn more about the restaurant and the insects that are served there. I would want to use this article in my paper because it is an interesting topic and I feel that other people would want to know more about it. This article is missing some key points like what type of insects they use, how much they sell for and I would like to know how long Chef Kwong has been cooking and eating insects and if they are safe for public consumption. This article helps me see that people in Australia are more open-minded and adventurous. They obviously look forward to trying new and strange things. I feel that when tourists travel to another country, they want to know what their culture is like and experience it to the fullest, so I think this article is helpful in showing others a little bit about the Australian culture.

Etiquette in Australia I think that if someone is to visit a new place it is important to learn his or her ways of life and to treat him or her with respect. In the article the author, Bambrick, states that Australian natives are very casual, easygoing people. Men, women, and children are treated equally and attempting to appear superior to others in terms of dress, manners, knowledge, and work ethics are discouraged. These things are important for tourist to know because they do not want to disrespect their culture in any way. This article is very informative and describes the exact way Australians greet each other and how they behave in public. This is important because someone from American might think its okay to burp in public when they are in Australia because the American culture allows it, when in fact the Australian culture looks down on it. The author did a good job in explaining the right and wrong way to act in public so that tourists can enjoy their vacation, and become fully immersed in the culture. After reading this article I have come to the conclusion that Australian people are very respectful of one another regardless of gender or ethnicity. I do believe that the author should have included the consequences to the actions mentioned in the article. That would have made it more interesting to read while also giving more information to the reader. I would include this in my paper because if I had to travel there, I would want to know how I am expected to act and how to treat others so that I would not offend anyone. Architecture in Australia When traveling to new places tourists usually like to admire the architecture of the buildings, whether it is a government building or even churches. I liked that this article provided good examples of buildings that mainly attract tourists, and also that they were very detailed.

Also personal homeowners have expanded their homes, constructing larger buildings with more bedrooms and bathrooms. Although they have made these changes, residents are mainly restricted to urban and suburban dwellings because of the harsh physical environment encouraging people to remain close to the fertile coastal areas. The author explains why people live the way they do and in the areas they do, and this gives the tourists a better understanding of Australia and the background. In my opinion if you are going to travel somewhere it is important to familiarize yourself with the cities and to know a little background about the country and its people. Language in Australia When traveling to a different country it is important to realize that they might speak a different language or a different dialect then yours. In Australia they speak English with a little multilingualism among the majority population. In this article the author explains who discovered Australia and how the language came to be there. This is very helpful because when traveling to a different country it is important to understand their culture and history. This makes me think of in movies how you sometimes see people who struggle in a foreign country because they do not understand the language. I would need to know more about

the ascent they use and I would have to try to get accustomed to hearing it. I think this article is missing I better sense of how Australian people speak and why they have this ascent. However this article does raise questions like are other languages spoken there? And if so, what are they? They have only two houses, the federal and state parliaments except in Queensland, the Northern Territory, and the Australian Capital Territory. They also have two major political parties, which are the Australian Labor Party and the Liberal Party. The British Union Jack on the flag is for some people an acknowledgement of the historical ties with Britain, while for others it is a reason to change the constitution to emphasize the independence of the nation. I think that is very important to know what kind of government someone is dealing with when they travel to a different country. Not only should the tourist know about the political aspect but also the laws and the consequences for breaking them. Something that might be deemed correct in America might be seen as a crime in Australia. This article is very informative

because it provides a general idea of what the political aspect of Australia is like. However I would like to know more about the laws and how they differ from other countries. This article challenges my own thinking because I had to keep an open mind when trying to picture what the government is like, especially because the government in American is very different compared to everywhere else.
