Compliant Beverages Serving sizes are 12 fl. oz unless stated.
1. FRUIT OR VEGETABLE JUICE: a. > 50% juice and b. No added sweetener 2. MILK: a. Cow or goat milk and b. Unflavored 1%/Flavored nonfat c. > 25% of the Ca DV per 8 fl. oz and d. < 28 g of total sugar per 8 fl. oz e. < 8 fl. oz serving size 3. NON-DAIRY MILK a. Nutritionally equivalent to milk and b. < 25 grams of total sugar per 8 fl. oz and c. < 5 grams fat per 8 fl. oz 4. WATER: a. No added sweeteners b. No serving size 5. NON-CALORIE and LOW CALORIE BEVERAGES High School Only a. Water as first ingredient b. < 16.8 g of added sweetener/8 fl. oz c. < 5 calories/8 fl. oz OR < 10 calories/20 fl. oz d. 10-150 mg sodium e. 10-90 mg Potassium f. Non-compliant beverages may be sold 30 minutes after school until midnight.

7th to 12th grade Standards are effective from midnight to 30 minutes after school. COMPLIANT FOODS

Snack food items must be all of the following:

1. Meat/meat alternate and whole grain rich food; OR 2. Fruit or non-fried vegetable and meat/meat alternate; OR 3. Meat/Meat alternate alone (cannot be yogurt, cheese, nuts, seeds or meat snacks) and 4. < 35% calories from fat* 5. < 10% calories from saturated fat* 6. < 35% sugar by weight* 7. < .5 g trans fat per serving 7. < 480 mg sodium 8. < 350 calories per item/container Dried blueberries, cranberries, cherries, tropical fruit, chopped dates or figs that contain added sugar are exempt from fat and sugar standards. Canned fruit in 100% juice only.

FUNDRASING STANDARDS
Effective during school hours; applies only to student organizations. Student organization must meet the following: 1. Up to 3 categories of food or beverage may be sold each day ( example: chips, sandwich, juice) and cannot be the same items sold in the food service program during the same day 2. Food/Bev. must be pre-approved by the governing board of school district 3. Only one student organization is allowed to sell each day 4. Food/Bev. cannot be prepared on campus Any and all student organizations may sell on the same four designated days per year. School administration may set these dates.
