After measuring the Voice Onset Time (VOT) durations of the voiceless and voiced plosive consonants we were

able to find the means and standard deviations for each. The means of the voiceless plosives VOTs beginning with /pi/ is 117ms, /po/ is 70ms, /ti/ is 119ms, /to/ is 105ms, /ki/ is 112ms and /ko/ is 91ms. The standard deviations were 53ms for /pi/, 9ms for /po/, 20ms for /ti/, 14ms for /to/, 11ms for /ki/ and 20ms for /ko/. The mean for the voiced plosives VOTs are as follows: /bi/ is 13ms, /bo/ is 16ms, /di/ is 15ms, /do/ is 15ms, /gi/ is 37ms and /go/ is 14ms. There was no standard deviation for the voiced plosives because there were only VOT measurements taken from one persons recordings; the mean measurements also are juts the same as the voiced plosive measurements from one person.
