Unit Plan: Reflection Page

1. Where did you get the ideas and materials for this unit plan? Include website names, URLs, book titles and authors. I used the Integrating Language Arts and Social Studies book by Leah M. Melber & Alyce Hunter as well as the Social Studies books given for this course.
Houghton Mifflin 5th Grade Social Studies Book: United States History (p.400-403) for the lesson on Tuesday. I based the lessons around my Tuesday lesson I had written for you previously because I love the 5th grade level curriculum and I find this to be a very diverse topic you can go many places with.

2. What were the easiest and most challenging parts of writing this unit plan? Making this unit plan took me SEVERAL days/ hours. It was very time consuming and I kept revising things to make it fit. I dont know if I am happy with the final choices I have made but its hard to be able to know regardless because I wont be able to test it out until I have my own classroom.

3. What suggestions do you have for yourself for the next time you write unit plans? I would like to be able to collaborate with a person who has experience, which might make it easier for me. However, I feel that it just takes a lot of practice for me to be able to really get how to do it and this assignment really pushed me to go for it and get that practice that I needed.
