Title: My Best Learning Experience Scene: 1; Sequence: 1; Duration: 15 seconds

Narration (10 seconds at beginning of scene): Once upon a time, there was a student who lacked a certain component of school: Motivation. Overlay text: The Student Without an Identity Visual Image not yet chosen (see next challenge); will fly in during the narration. Auditory Background music (song not yet selected) will be continuously throughout all scenes

Title: Early High School Years Scene: 2; Sequence: 2; Duration: 30 seconds


Text: Narration (entire thirty seconds) This motivation-less student cared not for the monotony of school. Rather, he persisted in his interests of football, music, and girls. Not the most productive interests. Overlay Text (briefly during the narration): these will take the form of labels for the pictures that have yet to be selected. (This will be done in the next challenge). The labels are meant to enhance the visual representation of the purpose of each scene. In this case, they will solidify the student in question as one who follows predominantly un-academic interests. Visual: Animation images flying in as cued by the narration. Auditory: same song playing from previous slide.

Title: Dirty Little Secret Scene: 3; Sequence: 3; Duration: 45 seconds


Text: Narration (first thirty seconds) This boy, following one of his wayward distractions, joined a band with a group of friends. And while this venture seemed on the surface to be yet another unconstructive interest, it gave birth to a persisting passion. . . But one that he must keep a secret. Overlay text (during narration, and final fifteen seconds): Writing, which will be displayed with a picture to be designated in the near future when cued by the narration. Visual: Animation image flying in on cue from narration; image to be selected during challenge three. Auditory: same song playing from previous scenes

Title: The Secret Grows Scene: 4; Sequence: 4; Duration: 30 seconds


Text: Narration As the student continued indulging in his newfound passion, his marks in school began to increase drastically, thus making it exceedingly more difficult to keep his secret undercover. The fractures in his faade were beginning to become evident. Overlay Text: After narration, final five seconds of scene Visual: Animation Overlay text flying in after narration to supplement unchosen picture. Auditory: Same song as previous scenes.

Title: Moving Motivation Scene: 5; Sequence: 5; Duration: 45 seconds


Text: Narration Along came an exceptionally caring teacher who saw a glimmer of promise in our picaresque student. She began devising certain activities to prod the talent out of him that she knew existed somewhere within. And she did this through writing creatively. (first 30 seconds) Overlay text: Creative writing = critical thinking Visual: Animation image and overlay text flying when cued by narration and intermittently after narration subsides. Auditory: Same song as previous scenes

Title: A Taste of Success Scene: 6; Sequence: 6; Duration: 30 seconds


Text: Narration The accolades began to roll in once the secret of the student continued to unravel. He had become seen as the prodigal son in the mold of a modern Poe. His teachers were awestruck, but the student began to feel more trepidation with this than one might expect . . . Overlay Text: The image unravels . . . Visual: Animation overlay text flying in with currently unselected image. Auditory: Same song playing as in previous scenes.

Title: Juggling Images Scene: 7; Sequence: 7; Duration: 30 seconds


Text: Narration Still an avid athlete, the student began fearing for his social image and how his peers would react to this budding identity he had found. He continued to play football and baseball, while still pursuing his literary ambitions. Timid in the response to follow, he began to seclude himself, becoming distant. One may say not all unlike Poe had done himself. . . Overlay text: identity crisis . . . Visual: Animation overlay text flying in with image when prompted by animation. Auditory: Same song as in previous scenes

Title: A New Self Scene: 8; Sequence: 8; Duration: 45 seconds


Text: Narration At the beginning of his final year in high school, the student began to realize that he can be whoever he so wishes quarterback, poet, jock, author. Nobody cared. As long as he remained who everyone expected him to be: himself. And it took that caring teacher to make him realize this. Overlay text: Crisis averted. Visual: Animation overlay text fading in with currently undesignated image. Auditory: same song as previous scenes, until conclusion of image credits.
