Specific Information for Speakers Thank you for participating as a speaker at the Conference on Public Policy in Asia 2014.

The following guidelines will provide you with important information and instructions to prepare your presentation. This page will be regularly updated. Updates will be provided by email. 1. Deadlines Full paper submission: 30 April 2014 PowerPoint presentation submission : 22 May 2014 2. Session information As there is a photo-taking session on the first day, you are advised to dress more formally. National costumes are also encouraged. You are expected to come prepared for your session and to have read all the papers that will be presented during your session in order to facilitate a more fruitful discussion. Please check the preliminary program for the day and time of the session in which you are presenting. The online program is regularly updated and contains details of all sessions and speakers. Each session will have a chairperson responsible for introducing the speakers, controlling the timing of the sessions and facilitating questions. The sessions each have a rapporteur responsible for reporting back on the session. Each speaker has 10 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for Q&A. At the chairpersons discretion, questions can be asked either at the end of each presentation or after a group of speakers. In order to keep the sessions running to schedule and allow questions from the audience it is very important to keep the presentations within the allotted time. Please note that time limits will be strictly enforced. 3. PowerPoint presentation submission All speakers are expected to produce a PowerPoint presentation. Your PowerPoint presentation should be sent before the conference in order to make the necessary arrangements for uploading your file to the computer in the conference room. Please submit your PowerPoint by email to: publicpolicyinasia@gmail.com Due to time limitations, you will not be able to use your own laptop for your presentation. All presentations should be based on the submitted abstract as accepted by the Program Committee. 4. Room set-up and audiovisual equipment Room set-up for the conference is theatre style. All rooms are equipped with a lectern, microphone, projector, screen, remote control, cue light, laser pointer, and computer with PowerPoint (operating system Windows). A computer with the presentations pre-loaded will be available for the moving of slides back and forth.
