Natasha King EDCI 270 Rudy Rico April 30, 2014 Project 1 Narrative I believe I have learned a lot

from doing this project. I have learned a lot about organization and even more about programs such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. I can navigate around toolbars and even use the developer tool in PowerPoint. I feel by using these projects so much during the course I am better prepared for my future as an educator. I can now successfully make a useful and visual pleasing PowerPoint for my students so they can pay attention. The completion of this project has been a wonderful experience. I know so much more now and I am excited about all the knowledge I have obtained from this. I now have a greater knowledge on things that I will probably have in my classroom. An example is that for Badge 8 I got to learn how use Smartboards and navigate through them. I also learned how to better use Microsoft Exel. This will be extremely important when I am recording grades and organizing class lists. It will definitely help me to be more organized and orderly.

Throughout this project there were a few standards that were addressed. The standard that I feel stood out the most is Model Digital-Age Work and Learning. I chose this because it is explained as Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society.

Teachers:

I feel all of these steps were included in my project. For example, I demonstrated fluency, I used digital tools to collaborate with others, I used digital media to communicate, and I modeled effective use of these digital tools. The only improvements I could think of to enhance to effectiveness of this project was allowing more time to complete the badges and put everything together. I also feel that having Cases to do during this time was rough because we couldnt devote our time to just one to make it the best we could have.
