Jan-May 2012
Spring 2014 Instructed 11th/12th grade US History, Economics, Consumer Education, and Technology courses. Collaborated with cooperating teacher on student-centered lessons meeting the Charlotte Danielson framework. Fall 2013 Presented daily lesson plans and assessed student work utilizing Common Core Standards (30 hrs.). Created and implemented four lessons with formative assessments in Modern US History to 12th grade students.

RELATED EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE Sundown Town Research with author James Loewen, Urbana, IL Intern
Recommended for, interviewed and selected as a student researcher. Worked alongside Dr. Loewen on education reform and teaching history in the classroom. Analyzed and assessed primary source documents for Sundown Town Research (100 hrs). Researched and composed Comprehensive Report on Educational Effect of Sundown Towns in Illinois.

Fall 2010 - 2011 Organized motivational talks and youth development activities to over 50 high school students. Acted as a mentor while planning team-building activities for a group of 15 high school students. Language proficiency in Spanish six years and one semester Study Abroad. J. Kyle Braid Leadership Foundation - Interviewed and selected to represent Naperville Central HS as one of twenty Chicago area high school sophomores attending a one week Leadership Skills and Training Program in Colorado. Two-sport Varsity athlete at Naperville Central High School in Volleyball and Soccer.
