B: Summarize the AUTHORs main point or idea- at LEAST 1-2 paragraphs Not many people think of the effects of meat and food other than their physical appearance or its health credentials. The author uses this article to open eyes of the meat we eat. It does not matter that it is cheap, its effects on the environment and us is the importance. A CAFO pound of beef produces 14.8 pounds of CO2 from its distribution and making. The CO2 adds on to many other greenhouse gases affecting the Earth, disrupting the balance of its

organisms. Eating less meat and knowing more about the issue will allow the public to contribute their good to the problem. C: Write a reaction paragraph to the article stating your own thoughts on the topic, using specific citations from the article to support your views The article tells interesting facts about what we put into our mouths. This is a very helpful article for those who are interested on the impact of the food other than weight or physical appearance. It angers me that many people worry more about their reflection than the impact they can do the world. If many people understood why it would be better to eat less meat and buy more local food, there would be much more on board for these solutions. Sadly, there is not many who will speak of these issues, or the people will not listen. So What? It is important to know about the impact of foods on the environment. What if..? What if people consumed less meat per year? Says Who? The author and the various sources. What Does This Remind Me Of? This reminds me of the contaminated water article.
